Very cheap piece of junk. The key did not work it got stuck in the lock, I had to pay twice as much for a locksmith to get it removed from my tank. It's also not blue like in the picture that is just supposed to be a protective plastic (which didn't protect mine it came with several scratches) during removal of this so-called protective covering the piece covering the keyhole fell off the entire reason I needed a new gas cap to begin with....

Just bought an 86 Rebel 250 that had this installed and the blue on it was very faded and flaking. I ended up just grinding off the blue and finishing the steel on it. Now I’m not sure when this was installed but clearly it doesn’t last
