The Raytek MTAPK Pouch and Carrying Kit is for use with the MiniTemp infrared thermometer, and it includes a storage pouch and wrist strap. The soft carrying pouch has a hook-and-loop fabric closure to protect the thermometer. The detachable wrist strap helps prevent dropping the thermometer during use.Digital infrared thermometers measure the temperature of surfaces from a distance. They may measure temperature in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Infrared (IR) thermometers work by focusing the infrared radiation emitted by a surface onto a detector called a thermopile. The thermopile turns the heat into electricity, which is measured and converted to a temperature reading. The reading is then displayed on an LCD display. IR thermometers are used to measure temperature when an object is fragile, as in ear thermometers, or dangerous to be near, as in the case of industrial equipment. Raytek manufactures infrared, noncontact temperature measurement instruments for industrial, process control, and maintenance applications. Heavy Duty
This pouch is a heavy duty one and would do well in the field when one is needed to be clipped to a belt for east access. I bought this pouch by mistake because the Raytek Temp Gun I bought did not say there was a pouch included. When I got got the gun, there was a pouch included. Too much hassle to return this one so I kept it. I only gave it 4 stars not because of the product which I could say 5 stars, but because I'm mad at myself for buying something I did not need. I do recommend this pouch but if your only using it for household projects like me then the included pouch is fine.

Too small for Raytek MT6!
Although Amazon claims that this case is for the Raytek MT6 it does not fit. The flap will not close with a MT6 in the case. Plus, Amazon indicates it is a "Raytek" brand case, which is doubtful. Notice that it does not say "Raytek" on the package, and the model MTAPK does not show up as a Raytek accessory on their web site.To top it off, when you buy a Raytek MT6 thermometer it already COMES with a case (at least the last three we bought did).So don't waste your money on this MTAPK case.

This is a great product for anyone looking for heat loss.
I ordered this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He has been able to determine the effectiveness of the heating system output at the vents, what heat is lost at doors and windows and has found other uses too numerous to mention. He loves it and it came quickly so service was great!
