myQ Smart Garage Door Video Keypad The product worked great but the issue is the battery. Life expectancy was less than 30 days when you’re using all the features. It does put a lot of drawer on the battery, but I came across this product and there’s many of them out there of clones, but I wanted to stick with the MQ so I purchased it very simple to do Just takes a few minutes couple little holes and I would say within 20 minutes you got up and running I’ve not been using this now for about 45 days. Let me tell you it’s so nice not worrying about the battery. It’s always fully charged and I have to say go for it if you use this product it’s so nice not worry about the battery. I highly recommend it.

So the myQ video keypad is a great idea but without this power supply worthless I bought a third party adapter first also worthless, but this one made by myQ is perfect works easy to install and with a few modifications to the original mount it can still be used. I had actually removed put my myQ video keypad because of the poor battery performance and third party power supplies - this device made me put it back up and it works great -

Like having the video keypad integrated into the MyQ system for my garage doors. Really didn't like having to charge the battery every month or so. Had planned on doing the hack method of powering the device but then found this. For about the price of a second battery, you can no longer have to worry about a battery at all! I already had a mount in place and didn't want to replace it with the swivel one it included, but didn't want a cord visible outside. So I just drilled a hole through the old mount and stucco into the garage. Cord is nice and long and save for drilling the hole, install was super simple. Now it runs on house power and I no longer have to even think about it, it just works!!

It's a good replacement for the battery, this should have come with the device in the first place, rather than the battery that we kept on charging, and bought another battery which is not cheap, about same price as this plug in, so there's no lost time on making the device operational, the only thing I don't like about this direct power source is there's no way of hiding the cord/wire, it will be exposed no matter how you run it, unless you have the patience of drilling a hole through the threshold which is a double layer of 2X4s,, other than that it's good as long as no one tries to cut the wire. We'll see how this will last. This is my initial review, just got the unit and installed yesterday.

Works great. If I lose power, I have lost my garage door and the opener but since the garage door wouldn't work, this doesn't matter either. Easy to install. Follow proper steps.

Good camera. Like that I can usemy phone. You need the electric kit, the battery just doesn't last. Also I bought one for my Mom's house and can't get it to connect to her opener, same as mine. Need to dig into more instructions.

Easy to install. Took about 15 minutes and the wires are inside. Love the little staples provided to hold wires against wall. Also like the swivel base. Mostly will enjoy not having to charge batter. Great product. Great price. Thanks. Highly recommend and would purchase again.
