Charming Story
Absolutely loved this story! The tenderness of the couple melted my heart and had me smiling all the way through.I loved the way their relationship built and how strong they were when they stood together.Age: 16+Love Scenes: yes, but after marriage and not explicitLanguage: Not reallyViolence: MentionedTriggers: PTSD; miscarriageRecommend: yesI will say that there were moments when the story seemed to drag and I had the urge to speed read, but I carried through. Also, some of the dialogue was too long, but again, just carry on.Still recommend this book and author. She’s quickly becoming one of my favorites,,

4.25 STARS
Loved the main and secondary characters and can't wait for the next story about the H's best friend, which I've preordered. This would have been a 5 star review because the author is great at her craft. Makes you care for her characters to where you feel like you know them. The H decides to marry the h after an hour to help her out, when he just stated 10 minutes prior, he wasn't ready for marriage. This is exactly what the h and her sisters need to help against her cousin. The h contemplated even asking the Duke to marry her. So why does she refuse him when this would solve all their problems? Some nasty villains to keep the story interesting. Story has suspense, great dialogue, twists, HEA, romance and honesty. I enjoyed that a women tried to cause problems but the h didn't go down that rabbit hole - thankfully!Love Making within marriage - heat level 4 out of 5 filled with love and passion. Foreplay outside of marriage - heat level 1 out of 5.No cliffhanger, no cheating, h suffers a miscarriage on page but didn't have much effect on them, and some steam. I did enjoy the epilogue a couple years in the future. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you some tidbits to decide whether to purchase, which I recommend! (ljb)

Opposites attract.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it. Cain is a Duke troubled by nightmares from the war. So he works himself to exhaustion at his estate so he can fall asleep at night. Hen is his neighbor and as soon as he meets her he is smitten. She is his opposite. Kind and caring and always putting others first. But now she needs help. Cain not only offers his help but proposes as well. The two work together to defeat Hen’s greedy cousin which makes for an interesting storyline. I hope we read Cormac’s story next.

Moonstone Magic
Lady Henley Killigrew and her sisters are desperate to find a way to wrest control of their trust funds from their unscrupulous cousin. Since they were evicted, by said cousin, from their home, they have lived in their cottage in Moonstone Landing. Cain St. Austell, the Duke of Malvern, returned from the war with physical and emotional scars. He has been unable to find a way to rid himself of the nightmares from the war that plague him. They are taken with each other at first sight. Can Cain help her and her family thwart their cousin’s pilfering? Will Hen help Cain fin some peace from his nightmares? This is a romance with a well-written interesting plot. The story is fast-paced, has a greedy guardian, some suspense, humor, and a fantastic romance. I love the characters, except the cousin, of course. Cain is brooding; Henley is his sunshine. Hen’s sisters are lovely. They add some cheer and humor to the story. This is the first story in the series, although there is a prequel that describes the beginning of the magic of Moonstone Landing. I thoroughly enjoyed the Duke and Lady Henely, and look forward to the next story.I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Lady Henley and The Duke in an Enchanting Romance 3.5 stars.
Meara Platt delivers a solidly sweet romance between Cain, a war weary Duke, and his sweet, lovely neighbor, Lady Henley. The daughter of an Earl, she finds herself in impoverished state when her father's heir casts her and her two sisters out and steals their inheritance. They end up in a cottage in a Cornish seaside town bequeathed to them by an aunt. Hearing that the young duke is in residence in the manor house nearby, Hen appeals to him for help. Nic3 guy that be is -- seriously -- he volunteers to rescue the 3 sisters.Love at first sight propels these two toward the altar and this story held my interest, but I wanted more. They are sweet together & Hen is a balm to Cain's soul, but nothing really happens to challenge them until the very end and it's almost an inconsequential footnote. Maybe I read too many romantic suspense but with characters this sweet, the story almost needs some more solid external conflict. It was a pleasant read and I will look forward to book 2.Mildly descriptive intimacy after marriage and a TW for a miscarriage.

Fun, romantic but predictable regency romance
I loved the plot about the plight of women in 1815 England with not rights or power. Once their father dies, the 3 Killigrew girls are at the mercy of eeil people who take their trust funds. They have little power to bring the case to justice without the aid of there neighbor the Duke of Malvern. Cain is a good character with his PTSD from the Napoleonic was and his powers as a duke. The inta love romance was a bit unbelievable and the story was predictable.
