The Earl and his Butterfly
Draco and Imogen first meet at a masquerade ball, where he is a pirate and she a butterfly. Despite not being able to see the other’s face both fall deeply for each other, though Draco, like a typical man, is loath to put a label on his feelings. He is already up to his eyes in a secret and dangerous mission for the Crown and the last thing he needs is protective feelings for an inquisitive young woman who seems incapable of following his orders.Another fabulous story in the Moonstone Landing series.

Great addition to the series
The Moonstone Pirate is part of Meara Platt’s Moonstone Landing series but it can be read as a standalone.Lady Imogen Stockwell attends a lavish masquerade ball at the house of the new Earl of Woodley, Draco Waring – held to introduce him to the community of Moonstone Landing. There is an instant attraction between them but before things can progress one of the unwanted guests is murdered. Now they are plunged into a murder investigation. Imogen knows Draco cannot be the culprit but he is certainly hiding secrets. The two must navigate danger and unravel secrets to find out who the true villains are before they can achieve their happily ever after. This was a well written lighthearted adventure with a dashing hero and a sweet, clever heroine. There is a lot of involvement by the community including past heroes/heroines from Meara’s books. There were instances when Imogen just should have left well alone though and Draco’s refusal to admit his feelings even though they were glaringly obvious was a little frustrating.Overall I did enjoy this book and I am going back to read the previous stories. I received an advance review copy from Netgalley and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Lovely read
Another really enjoyable read in this series. Once started I did not want to put it down. Although each story can be read as a standalone there are mention of other family members which just make you want to go back and read their stories.

Loved it 😍
❤️❤️❤️❤️1/2💋💋This book was so good and very well written by Meara. It’s one of my favourite series atm, always lighthearted with a slightly tense angle at times. This was no different, the characters matched beautifully, the lighthearted banter was funny and helped to ease the reader through the book. The tension came from the smugglers who were expected to deliver to the caves and the occurrences on the night of the masked ball.I very much enjoyed the book. I will say though that Imogen was a little frustrating at times if I was him I would have locked her up lol 😂Thankyou to Dragonblade for the Arc. I wrote and posted this review by my own personal choice.

Great fun
We are back in the beautiful Cornish seaside town of Moonstone Landing for this historical romance. Our heroine has been coming here every summer since she was a child. Many of her family members have homes there. Our hero has recently come into his title, and because of his profession, a home near the coast was a must. There are many benefits from living in a small, friendly place, but unfortunately, trying to keep secrets isn't one of them. This is a wonderfully romantic story with lots of giggles and some danger. Our furry hero is a delight. I think I would have loved to holiday in that town. Everyone is so helpful. This book is part of a series but easily read on its own. You will meet and hear about the characters from previous books, but not enough to spoil them if you haven't read them yet. I have read and thoroughly enjoyed everyone. Great fun.

Perfect!
The Moonstone Pirate, book 6 in Meara Platt’s Moonstone Landing series, was perfection! From beginning to end you were drawn to the sweet love of Imogen for her new neighbor Draco, Earl of Woodley. She is sweet and innocent but also keenly intelligent and artistically gifted. He recognizes this as he falls in love at first sight, but he’s on a mission to stop a rebel plot against the crown, and will do anything to protect Imogen; that includes denying his feelings, even while using her mind to help puzzle out the mystery of who’s behind the plot and murder that occurs the night they meet. This story is an absolutely brilliant tale and a wonderful addition to the Moonstone Landing series!

Beautiful romance
A wonderful romance, charming characters and the beautiful and idyllic village of Moonstone Landing. Draco and Imogen are not an obvious pairing but they are perfection and true love blossoms. I enjoyed their connection and banter, the danger and secrets aplenty and making their way to a delightful happily ever after.
