I've been perming my hair every 6 weeks for about 4 years so and I have tired many different perm kits.I give this 5 stars because this perm kit is the best at delivering exactly what it designed to do as an Alkaline perm. It’s a bit harsher then because the PH level is higher then acid and most perms. Do not use on thin/medium texture hair, bleached or previously permed hair it will make your hair little fuzzy, dry and spiky requiring lots of conditioner. Also, it will break off so this perm is not for everyone.This perm kit should be used on thicker textured hair and or resistant to processing that's harder to perm.That's why alkaline perm kits are usually on sold to professionals in stores like Sally's etc. because salons will use the correct perm for your hair type.On the plus side results are fantastic - last longer, more defined and tighter curls/waves.

I'm lucky enough to not have an oily scalp so I can get away with only washing my hair once or twice a week, then using a straight iron to smooth it. However, in the summer, because you get sweaty, or go swimming, I prefer to wash it pretty much daily. I'm not one that wants to deal with drying, and straightening on a daily basis, so I get a loose professional perm in the late Spring. At the end of summer, I want to go back to straighter hair. I do this myself, using perm solution on damp hair, and comb it continuously for the 20 minutes you would keep it in with rods. Rinse, neutralize, rinse, and the perm is fine. Definitely need to wait at least 3 months between the perm and "unperming" to decrease damage to your hair. I really like this product because it is very gentle, yet still effective. This is the second year I've used this product, and am sure it will be next years choice as well.

My regular brand was sold out, so I decided to try Zotos. It is okay. It seemed weaker than the other product. It also doesn't have that strong perm solution odor as the other solution. But I will try it again if I get an old batch.

I bought this to use on my son’s hair. It was great! It didn’t have papers in it as some do but that wasn’t a big deal!

A great perm lotion and good value for the money. It doesn't come with cotton coil or perm papers so you will need to buy these separately. Permed my son's hair and he is very happy with it. Will be buying this lotion again, once my son's perm has grown out.

This came today and the box was totally destroyed. It was cut open on the bottom. I usually love this brand but really disappointed when it arrived opened at the bottom.

My hair has always been very hard to curl. This is the first perm that I have used, that has lasted more than a week. I put the perm in my hair in August, it is now January and I still have the same amout of curls now as I did when it was first applied. The curls have lengthened, but are still there. It was as easy as any other home perm, I just followed the directions. It has a very strong odor though, so I recommend applying it in a very ventilated area. I am extremely satisfied with the results and longevity of this perm. I will absolutely buy this perm again.UPDATE: It is now November 2023, over a year since I put the perm in my hair and I still have curl. So happy with this product. As my hair grows, the curls are turning into more of a ringlet, Love how it looks.
