An iridescent gold sparkle. Gives a beautiful effect in drinks. Not a solid, metallic gold.
- Bottle size with lid: 1-3/4" tall, 1-1/8" diam, and the bottle is 3/16" thick- The bottle has a screw-off lid, then a snap-top that exposes the shaker top, which allows you to sprinkle the product.- Flavorless- Color: Iridescent GoldThe powder in the bottle appears white, perhaps even more silvery with a hint of gold. The product must be mixed in or brushed on in order to bring out the true gold effect - sprinkling it on doesn't really show it off very well. The powder is very fine and smooth, what you'd refer to as a luster dust, as opposed to glitter, which would have a much chunkier appearance. The gold doesn't have a chrome or metallic look, - it is more of an iridescent gold sparkle, and it sparkles a LOT. I wouldn't necessarily refer to it as glitter, because the particles are so fine. It's not a deep, solid gold, so if you are looking to get a true gold look with this product, you may want to start with a colored icing to use as a base for this. I think this would look great as a gold accent on icing flowers, as opposed to a more metallic or deeper gold powder. It really is beautiful. I put a little bit in some water, and it mixes in well and gives a nice gold shimmer to the drink. If you're a professional baker who uses a lot of this stuff, then you would probably want to buy this in a larger container, but for those who don't use the sparkly stuff a lot or for home bakers or chocolate makers who want to up their game and make something truly special with minimal effort, this is a good choice to add a nice golden sparkle effect, without leaving too much of a solid gold look. I think it would also look great in drinks, and not just for grown-ups ... mix it into some ginger ale and use some inexpensive plastic champagne flutes to make a really fancy addition to a little girl's party. Remember, little bit of this goes a LONG way!

Easy to work with.
I used this gold edible glitter to decorate some cake pops and it went really well. This power is very fine and I mixed it easily with some lemon extract. Once wet it was very easy to brush onto the cake pops to add some flare. Very pretty result.Shipped fast and was packaged nicely. It came sealed and fresh. Good price! Fun to use with the kiddos, they enjoyed helping with the decorating. :)

Iridescent Gold Edible Glitter - 5g Food Grade Cake Decorating Shimmering Glitter
I've been using this for other projects besides baking and it works great to mix into other liquids. My daughter loves sparkly bubble solution and it mixes well into craft paints too.

Small but Powerful Container
This glitter may come in a small container but it will last you awhile. The first thing I noticed upon receiving this glitter is that the cylindrical bottle it came in was less than 2 inches tall and is only 1 inch in diameter. But the bottle comes with a shaker top with a lid to prevent you from accidentally spilling it. This allows you to not accidentally spill or dump the whole container in at once. I’ve added glitter to a few drinks now and there has been noticeable decrease in the amount in the bottle so despite it feeling like I am adding a ton of glitter reality is I am not adding much at all. The glitter stays suspended in the liquid for awhile before sinking down to the bottom. The glitter itself has no taste and other than adding a fun shimmer to the drink and a little color doesn’t change the drink in any other ways. Fun for both cocktails and mock tails I am sure to find some creative ways to jazz up my drinks.

Makes mixed drinks POP
Usually I use edible glitter in my baking for frosting. This time I also wanted to try using it in a mixed drink and it surprisingly worked really well. The blue glitter made the drink look so cool. I also made sure to try it in frosting and as a dusting on sugar cookies. Both times the shimmer came through well but adding it to a drink is my favorite use for this.
