A little goes a long way
It made perfect potion of luck for a Harry Potter dinner. I added 1tsp. of the powder to 64 oz. of apple cider, and look at the shimmer!

Beautiful
A little goes a long way. Works better with lighter colored liquids if putting in drinks. Lovely to dust on candy melt lollipops.

A nice metallic silver with glittery sparkles
This is definitely more of luster dust that you would brush your food item (chocolate, fondant, cake), than something that you would sprinkle on, like an edible glitter. It is a super fine powder with no chunks of glitter - very much like a glittery powdered eye-shadow. A plain edible glitter would be easy to sprinkle by hand, but this makes a mess on your hands if you try to apply it that way ... you would want to use a small paint brush (a new one that you use just for food), put a small amount of the powder on it, and tap that over your food for a sprinkled-on, more subtle effect. To get more solid coverage, load your brush with a TINY bit of the powder and work it into the brush a bit by swirling it on the inside of the cap before brushing it on your food. For a well-defined, more painted on appearance when decorating cakes or on icing, you would typically use a clear alcohol like vodka (the cheaper stuff seems to work better for some reason) and mix a cap full of that with a tiny bit of the powder. This states that it has a 3 year shelf life. The box comes pre-printed with an expiration date of 12/31/2026, (which is odd, because I've never seen a product box pre-printed with the expiration box), but there is a different expiration date stamped on the bottom of the box - it's stamped with the manufacturing date of 4/25/24 and an expiration date of 4/25/27. I would go by what is stamped on the bottom, as I assume that is the more accurate date.I would compare this to the finer grades of luster dust that I have purchased at cake decorating stores ... what you get in craft stores isn't usually as fine/smooth of a powder - it's usually much grainier and less intense. I couldn't taste anything at all with this product. This bottle is huge compared to the size of traditional luster dusts that I have purchased - yes, it is more expensive, but you get so much more product with this, so I'd say that this is a much better value. This is not a plain silvery metallic/chrome luster dust - while it does have that as a base color, it definitely has an added glittery/sparkly effect to it. I've only ever used luster dust on chocolates or cakes, and I would definitely purchase it for that purpose, having tried it out. I have never used luster dust in a drink, but since that's what they showed in the product listing, I sprinkled some in a drink (just plain water) to see what it would look like, and it did, indeed look like the photo. I would recommend this product, if you're looking for a sparkly luster dust. This product was free through the Vine program, but will I purchase this again?? I don't think I'll need to, because this bottle has so much product in it that it's likely a lifetime supply!! However, if I need a different color, I'll definitely see if this brand offers it before going elsewhere. If this company were to put out a sampler pack with an good assortment of colors (obviously in much smaller containers) at a reasonable price, I would definitely consider purchasing that. That's definitely a hint ... people love to get sampler packs so that they can have products on hand, should the need arise.

Perfect for drinks!
We mixed these in our prickly pear margaritas and WOW! what a difference it makes in the display of the drinks. The glitter has no effect to the taste and stays afloat in the drinks without settling quickly. Caution should be used when opening as to not stick your finger thru the seal when because it will go everywhere (learned this from experience). We haven't used in food prep, but from what we saw in the drinks, it will definitely make food come to life. It only requires a small pinch to brighten up a drink. Be sure you use clear glasses to see the effect.

no taste, lots of shimmer
I prefer to use edible glitter on cakes and cupcakes, since you have the texture of the icing to offset the gritty texture of the glitter, but this works well in things like frozen drinks or over ice cubes.Edible glitter really doesn't have a taste, but it gives a lovely sparkle to foods and drinks and can be absolutely gorgeous painted onto mirror coats or dusted over fondant. This is a good glitter, a little bit chunkier than others I've used, but not so that you would notice unless you compared them side by side. I was quite pleased with this, and everybody always oohs and aahs when you pull out the gold dusted cupcakes.I would recommend this product to anybody who wants a little sparkle in their drink or sweets.

Edible Glitter Gold for Cocktails
I ordered Edible Glitter Gold for Cocktails- This is a very fine glitter thats edible. I used it on a cake with chocolate frosting and it made the cake pop! There is a lot for a small bottle, so this will definitely go a long way!

Looks great on dark chocolate and in cocktails!
I specifically requested this because I wanted to try making that popular Dubai candy bar that was all over social media a while ago. While I have yet to make it, I did try my hand at making some dark chocolate truffles and used this gold glitter on the outside of those. It's really shimmery and pretty. A little bit goes a long way too, which is nice. I couldn't even taste it on the truffles, so it served to just make them look prettier. We also used them in a couple of cocktails, and it added a fun gold glitter to them. Four of us didn't even notice it in the drink, but one friend said they felt a slight grittiness to it. I don't think we put more in their drink than others, but maybe they are just more sensitive to textures. The rest of us love how festive and fun it was, and it didn't change the drinks for us.
