This kit was exactly what I needed to quiet down my washer machines screaming during the final spin cycle. You could hear it down the block it was so loud. I watched an excellent Youtube video on how to take my machine apart. Then the frustrating part: The old bearings would not budge even after two days of abusive attempts at removal. I was about to give up when I thought I need oil to penetrate deep into the old bearing or it was not going to budge. I went to AutoZone and bought Blaster which contains a penetrating catalyst. Spray the heck out of the old bearings and then come back in an hour and do it again. Then the miracle happened: The old bearings came out and these new ones slipped right in and guess what? The spin cycle screams were gone. That washer was soooooo quiet. Bottom Line: These bearings worked for me. Check them out! The price is sure right too!

When you notice your LG front loader makes a rough sound on high-speed spin, it's time for this kit. My only concern was that there was no brand name on the bearings but the visual quality looks good and they rotate well. So far so good, will update my review if anything changes.

It was quite a shock when our faithful front-loading washer started banging on the spin cycle, and then filled the laundry room with smoke. A quick Youtube search pointed out the problem, and the solution. And voila, the necessary parts are available on Amazon. What happens is that the bearings and the rear of the tub wear out or seize up from rust, and the imbalance causes the shaft to eat the seal, creating a lot of smoke. I was going to do the repair job, but my wife said she's had this washer and dryer for 17 years. We've gotten our use out of them, she wants new ones. No problem. I found a young man who was willing to take the washer and the parts and attempt the repair for his wife. Seems fair. So I can't swear these are the specifically correct parts for our exact washer, but almost all front loaders have the same problem.
