Pack of 10 Ceramic Gu10 Lamp Holder with Connection Terminal Box

Product arrive as described in good time.They come with an earth attached which can easily be removed for light circuits with no earth. I used these for converting several rooms from low voltage to high voltage GU10 and all worked well with simple installation. Earth and neutral are clearly marked and clamps are effective at keeping wires in place.

These are well made and made the job of switching from MR16's easy. I would recommend that if replacing a damaged spring while converting, as I did for each downlight converted, do use a spring that is of a similar spec to original. I bought stronger springs and found them too difficult to fit into light fitting.

Ideal for what I needed, installing a number of LED downlighters and wanted new lamp holders, fitting ease depends on what you are fitting them into!

Very good quality at a very low price

I bought these (like everyone else) to replace a set of 12v MR16 halogen ceiling lights with LEDs. I went for these particular ones because I wanted to do things properly and earth the fitting etc (by attaching the metal bit of this to the spring clip on the fitting), and this is the only one I could find that has the earth terminal inside the terminal block, in the middle of the other two terminals which makes it much easier to use with the twin and earth cable I'm working with (all others seem to have the earth as a separate terminal on the side, which would be much more awkward to attach my cable to)So that was all fine, but after I'd finished wiring my first one up and then attached it to the spring clip on my existing fitting, I realised that the lamp holder was only just barely reaching the hole for the lamp to go in the fitting. So I measured the cable to it, and it turns out it's only about 8.5cm long (not counting the lamp holder itself, but even with that included it'd only be about 12cm, and that's not a very useful measurement anyway as you need to get your hands round that to fit or remove the bulb). So definitely a lot less than the 15cm it says in the description (and it also doesn't help that the cable comes out of the terminal block horizontally and at an offset quite a lot way from the centre point)It's still just about usable for me, as the lamp holder just barely reaches far enough down into the hole for me to be able to reach it and hold it while putting in the bulb, but it will make changing the bulb more difficult than it should be

Great all rounder but if you are connecting and your power supply already contains a ground wire you can just get the bare bones connector. Overall it works fine for me I converted my MR6 light bulbs to these news gu10 and it works as it was fitted years ago

The first one I took out of the pack cracked where the cable goes into the bulb fitting but still usable. Apart from this the rest are of ok quality and good for the price.

Really good quality.The initial fittings I purchased were not very good That came as a complete fitting with the housing and bulbs so I changed them to these.I feel much happier and feel that they are of a much superior quality so I am not worried that my house will burn down whenever I turn my lights on in the kitchen and bathroom.They are sturdy and feel better quality. My electrician was happier fitting these to what I had purchased previously so win win.
