Northwest Airlines Flight 4422 Crash
The photographs are phenomenal in this book and makes me want to rush up to Alaska to see the Northern Lights in person. Of course reading some of the legends and historical accounts is extremely interesting but the real reason I was interested in this book was the mention of Northwest Airlines Flight 4422. This plane crashed on Mount Sanford on March 12, 1948 killing 30 men and it is believed to be the only case of a plane crash being blamed for the pilots being blinded by the Aurora Borealis. I'm intrigued with this and have followed this crash extensively. But regardless, the photos are worth everything!!!!

Nice balance of photos and information
I saw this book in a museum book store for about $20 but bought it here for less than $5 with shipping. This is not just a book of pretty pictures. The text, although a little more brief than I had hoped, is decent to get some science and history as well. Not quite large enough to be considered a coffee table book.

Such a pretty book, a little too informative for me
Such a pretty book, a little too informative for me, but I could have chosen an album book . My kids love the pictures.

It was a great Christmas gift for a friend who had to cancel a trip to see the northern lights along with the Aurora Light Projector. A little kiddish but she was thrilled and has used both for fun.

Beautiful Photography
Having recently been to Alaska to witness the Aurora I wanted a book that duplicated in photos what I had seen in person. This book did the best job of any I've seen. I recommend it for those who are as fascinated with the Northern Lights as I am

Stunning photography
My parents are going on a trip to (hopefully!) see the Northern Lights in November so I wanted to buy this as a gift so that they could look forward to the forthcoming trip even more. They were absolutely delighted with the book - the photography is absolutely stunning and the text well written and interesting. A lovely book which is well worth the money.

Northern Lights Book
Nice size paperback book. Stunning photos and quite a large amount of information about the Northern Lights. If you can't get to see them, comes quite a close to actually being there.
