Dense Filter Material
I normally use the lightweight blue and white roll filter material, but decided to try this green version. This version is much denser and stiffer than what I normally use. I am running a 12x12 inch piece in my wet dry filter and it seems to be working well so far. With it being a denser weave, it does fill up with debris faster, but that also means it is filtering out more dirt from the aquarium, but you may need to rinse it a little more often compared to the blue and white version. While this did come vacuum packed, I used a hair dryer, as instructed, to expand it back out to its full thickness of approximately 1 inch and that only took a couple of minutes. I followed that by a quick rinse and placed it in my filter setup. Overall, I am happy with this filter material and would recommend it if you are looking for a denser filter material.

Good dual layer filter pad
Aquarium Filter Media,Filter Floss for Fish/Turtle Tank Filters, Reused Strong Density Thick 12“ X 72”X*0.75-1” Pond Filter Media, Cut to Fit (Green/White). This filter media is collecting a lot of detritus in my tank. I see now that I installed this upside down however I’m used to the blue bonded filter pad that is coarse on top to collect the bigger particles and then the smaller particles are collected in the white floss. I did not soak this in hot water to expand it as this is for a salt water aquarium and I would have to heat up RODI water to do this which I’m not going to do as you would be introducing chlorine and other particles to my tank. It seemed to fluff up once it got soaked. So far this seems to be working well regardless of the direction. I’m using this in a trickle filter inside a sump. Easy to cut to size. I used this for a little over a month and this was easy to remove and dispose of without falling apart. Good filter pad.

Tough But Effective: Aquarium Filter Media Review
Cutting to Fit:This filter media works well, but be prepared to put in a bit of effort when cutting it to size. It’s pretty thick, so most regular scissors just don’t cut it—literally. I found that using a razor knife made the job a lot easier and gave me cleaner edges.Performance in the Tank:Once you’ve got it cut to the right size, this media does a great job in your tank. I’m using it in both my fish and turtle tanks, and it effectively traps debris, keeping the water clean and clear. It’s also dense enough to provide strong filtration without needing frequent replacements.Durability:This media is built to last. It holds up well over time, even after a few rinses, and doesn’t break down or lose its effectiveness. The green and white layers add a nice touch, making it easy to see which side needs to be facing up for optimal filtration.Final Thoughts:Overall, this filter media is a solid choice for anyone looking for something durable and effective. Just be sure to have a razor knife handy for the initial setup, and you’ll be good to go.

Great reusable filter media
I recently purchased the LA GUSCHI Aquarium Filter Media, and it's been a great addition to our fish and turtle tanks. This filter floss is impressively dense and thick, measuring 12” x 72” x 0.75”. It's designed to be reused, which is a huge plus for both convenience and cost-effectiveness.The quality of the filter media is top-notch. It's thick enough to effectively trap debris, uneaten food, and other particles, keeping the water clear and clean. Despite its strong density, it's still easy to cut and shape to fit any filter setup, making it versatile for different tank sizes and filter types. The floss doesn't break apart easily, even after multiple uses, which speaks to its durability. One of the best aspects of this filter media is its reusability. After a quick rinse, it retains its filtering capabilities, which saves money and reduces waste. It also helps maintain good water flow, preventing clogging and ensuring that the filtration system runs smoothly.Overall, the LA GUSCHI Aquarium Filter Media has been an excellent choice for maintaining our tanks' water quality. It's durable, efficient, and easy to use. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable and cost-effective filter floss for their fish or turtle tanks!

Extra work required
I have several aquariums and regularly use this type of filter media in my sumps. I have tried many different types and most are ok. Occasionally one is better than average and one will be worse than average but most just do their job. This one feels very sturdy. I just opened it yesterday for my monthly water changes so I can't yet evaluate its performance. What I can comment on are first impressions. The item ships vacuum sealed and is extremely flat. No problem. I get that it saves on shipping costs and have have many products ship as such. However, their instructions say to soak it in hot water or to heat with a hair dryer to fluff it back up. I ran it under hot water for about a minute. All it did was get wet. I went ahead and put it in my sump and will check it out after some time to see if it starts fluffing up.I'll tell you that doing water changes for multiple aquariums is time consuming enough that I don't want to add extra steps just to use a filter pad.I will use the product until it is exhausted and determine the effectiveness compared to other floss. Unless this is superior in terms of performance, I probably won't be re-ordering it.

Nice Filter material!
Review Of:Aquarium Filter Media,Filter Floss for Fish/Turtle Tank Filters, Reused Strong Density Thick 12“ X 72”X*0.75-1” Pond Filter Media, Cut to Fit (Green/White)Brand: LA GUSCHIPrice: $15.99I am always searching for good filter material like this. So much cheaper than buying the OMD filters for my cannisters and HOB's. This is a nice thickness of course and fine filter. Very easy to cut and is easy to reuse (after washing).Like I do with all filters or really anything I put into my aquariums, I rinsed this thoroughly before use. I will say, I didn't notice any chemical or odd smells from it when I opened the package, but I always prefer being making sure with a good solid rinse.Highly recommend it.
