Good for laughs
Bought for my 4 yr old niece and love hearing her say she can read…even if she’s only yelling “DUDE!”

Dude! This book is a favorite gift to give and to read with little people.
A profound treatise on the contextual nature of modern language. An exemplar of how intonation in American English helps a listener determine linguistic intent. And it has a board short wearing duck billed platypus.Highly recommend without reservations for the brilliant story and awesome art.I have quite literally quoted the story’s entire dialogue with my friends on multiple choice sessions in the wave factories of Southern California. For some sad grandma to not get the plot is just a prime example of a granny who needs to learn to surf.

Dude! What a darling book!
This book was purchased to add to our collection of juvenile fiction for pre-schoolers. The bright colors and large images kept the attention of the little ones at Story Time, and when we read it in our loud voice, they laughed. It was a huge success! Thank you.

Perfect for development
I’m an early interventionist and this is wonderful for creating anticipatory moments of fun with your little ones learning to talk!

One of my son and Husbands Favorite books to read together.
Let me start by saying I almost returned this book as soon as I got it. All it says it DUDE. But then I saw my Husband reading it "with" our 4yr son. And they love it. Laughing with each other the whole way through. This definetly a springboard book because after that my son starting picking it up on his own and reading it. Then he began explaining to me what the shark, platypus where upset about. I really sparks the imagination of young boys ( and dad's apparently ) And opened my son up to more books. Just get it, you might not understand the appeal but trust me your son will.

No Words?
Really dumb book. Yes it’s cute and repetitive but I even got tired of hearing myself say such a dumb word “dude”. My class didn’t really get it. They like more of a storyline Waste of time and money
