I didn't order these to couple wire mesh cable trays; I ordered them to create a loop at the end of 1/4" coated vinyl aircraft cable/coated wire (check out the photo - it'll make more sense) so I could attach the wire to what i'm securing.The nut torques down pretty easily with a socket (since the bolt doesn't turn in the square hole) and clamps the wire inside, so as long as your aircraft cable measures within the range this can clamp down on, it'll do the job.I know it's not what this is sold for but it works for what I'm doing and you get a lot of clamps; you can use two per end like I did if you need more strength or prefer the look, and still have enough for 25 loop ends.
