We moved to a high-humidity state two years ago, and I've had to rethink some of my house-cleaning habits. One of them is letting dishes dry on the counter on a padded, fabric dish mat. Due to the humidity, the dishes take forever to dry, and the mat seems to stay damp indefinitely which has led to mildew spots on occasion! I decided to give this Stone Drying Dish Mat set a try to see if it lives up to all the hype. I do like these mats much better. Here's what I experienced.1. It does dry the dishes much faster than my fabric mat2. The stone mat gets discolored when wet but dries back to normal relatively fast3. When I spilled juice on it; it discolored, but I was able to remove the stain with light scrubbing.4. Having two mats in the set is very convenient, and they are a nice size5. The mat is two-sided--one has a marble pattern and the other is plainEven though I have a dishwasher, I still use these every day for quick washing--I think they're great.

I ordered this product because two mats were in the package. I placed one in our beach condo near the sink. Counter space is at a premium, so it can be used to hold wet cups and plates while drying and then double as counter space. The only limitation is keeping guests from thinking it’s a cutting board! The second mat is on a high top table —again, to be used for wet dinnerware (Glasses, cold items like condiments that “sweat”) and also can be used for warm items. I would not put a searing hot pan on the mat, but probably OK for warm platters or microwaved items.I am not sure how best clean these mats if something stains them such as cola, red wine or a greasy item. Since they are white, it will show stains. I ordered the white version—no marble veining.They are a more elegant version to the microfiber drying mats.

perfect drying mat for updated countertops. We recently updated our countertop to a white quartz and finding a drying mat that looked nice and matched was a struggle. We didn't want the plain drying mats because they eventually look gross and or leak water all over the place.This drying stone came nicely packaged and came with instructions. It looks amazing and as you can see almost matches my countertops perfectly. I can't wait to use it. I tested it with a cup and it was wet and within minutes the wet ring from the cup was gone. I deducted a star because there is a weird feel to the drying mat, it almost feels caulky. I did rinse it off which seemed to help but it still has a weird film feel to it.

I'm glad these came in a 2 pack, as I underestimated the size I needed for my dish rack. I always placed a towel underneath, but it starts getting dirty and doesn't dry well as I seem to be constantly washing dishes, and they drip on it. These stone mats really dry well, the water disappears fast on them! The best part is that they actually look like marble, just like the picture! I love the new look on my kitchen counter, no more musty towels to change, and I don't have to worry about mold! They came with non slip pads, but I didn't see the need to put these underneath, it seems to be fine. There's also a scrubbing pad that came with it, I haven't used it yet, but I think it can be used to "refresh" the surface a bit if there's stains showing. So far I haven't noticed anything, as I'm just using them for dishes. I would recommend this!

I really like that this is a pair of mats, however, these are not the most absorbent or fast drying, and one came with a small defect - a few small ink looking stains. I was able to get most of the stains out but not completely. The grey veining also came out right away and the sanded area looks a little discolored already; not a great start. Might be okay for home use but would not recommend as a gift given mine came defective out of the box.Also, most are okay to use on kitchen counters for hot pots but not these mats.

The description and the safety instructions are conflicting. The description says that you can place hot pots on the stones. But the safety instructions says not to place hot pots on the stones. Which one is it? That was a major feature and reason why I ordered them. This needs to be clarified!The stone mats benefits such as quick drying and being lightweight. They have a rough texture and have gray veining on one side that is not throughout the stone. I wonder how much sanding can the surface withstand before losing the gray veining? They're pretty lightweight at just over 2.5 lb. They are priced well for a set of two.Nonetheless, I'm still deducting two stars because of the misleading information. I'm more inclined to believe the safety instructions that came with the product opposed to the product description.
