My 04 rx8 still had the original starter and took probably 3 seconds to start. This thing spins at least 50% faster and engine starts almost instantly

I have a 2005 manual transmission rx8. It has the typical hot start issue. After replacing the factory starter with this upgrade she will crank up every time within a few seconds.

Fit perfectly and can tell right away it has better starting power than the OEM starter.

I bought this for my 6 Speed 04 RX8 a few months ago in preparation for the starter to fail (It's a common issue in the earlier models). Just a few weeks ago it failed thank God I had this on hand. The replacement took about 30 minutes including a fight with some rusted bolts. All in all it really wasn't much of a hassle. As soon as I went to turn it over it roared like an angry beehive! My car starts like new again which means no more push starting. I would definitely purchase this starter again as a replacement.

After 1 month of use, the starter is fast, way faster than 1.4kW 11-tooth original Rx8 starter after 14 years ;P

If your RX8 has problems starting this starter is the perfect thing to correct it. I’m so glad I figured it out. Before it was such a pain in the ass. Now it’s amazing.

On my RX8, the wire that connects the motor to the solenoid had corroded to a stub. Motor itself was fine, but this replacement was a good price and promised next day delivery. Ordered it in the evening, took out old motor the next morning, received and installed the replacement in the afternoon. New motor is also higher power than the original, so the old RX8 fires up more quickly now.

I read the reviews for this starter, and skeptical that it would fix my 2004 RX-8 warm starting problems. I thought fuel,spark,compression.....we're my problems. But...I was surprised, installed the new starter, and it fixed my problem. The new starter turns over the rotary engine so fast! Hasn't missed start yet! Very impressed with the product and quality.

This fits the 04-08 RX-8. It is not the upgraded higher power starter though. It is a stock replacement.
