My son picked up this book and we both ended up reading it at one go! This has all the makings of a bestseller. A thrilling adventure, compelling characters, an epic journey. Dark and suspenseful, but also tender and touching!

Intriguing, imaginative, and so original! This is storytelling at its finest.

I’m an educator, so I bought this book out of curiosity and was so delighted by the author’s clever play of ideas and words. This is a treasure for bookworms, young and old, and for English teachers everywhere! I’m gifting copies to my colleagues!

I was practically glued to the pages of this gripping, mesmerising story of wordless Speakers and their fading words. What a fabulous idea! The book cover is stunning, the inside visuals are gorgeous, and the writing is economical and eloquent at the same time! Loved, loved, loved this! You make QMS proud!!

I guess this was such a surprising new YA read, I had to review it! It didn’t have the violence and brutality that most young adult books have these days, and honestly, i was super relieved that the main characters (spoiler alert!) weren’t in love! Not yet, at least! It wasn’t trying to pander to this audience. This is an authentic, original and gripping adventure about words and their speakers, but it also raises huge questions about language, truth and power that any thinking young adult will recognize from our own world today.
