Great to have as a spare always have a use for a vise grip

I do piano maintenance and repair and needed a small long nose locking pliers with jaws that fit well to hold fragile and easy-to-mar parts and can hold and manipulate piano wire with ease. These fit the bill—they feel like other high quality, well-engineered tools I use.

So I bought these so I could use something else other than my #Multitool right?I wanted a good blade, & some good pliers for leverage.I got an interesting design here with these locking pliers. But when I used these for a semi-serious job, I was trying to bend some steel that was maybe 1/16th an inch thick max? I was trying to bend some tabs. These pliers just flat out failed & flexed on me when it came to using them & twisting the pliers side ways. So not 90 degrees to the work piece. BUT parallel to the work piece? if that make's sense? So a piece of flat stock, with a tab sticking out.The flex point that happened, was next to where the jaws join the rest of the pliers, the handle. So an engineering design flaw? Like out of all the places it should of held up better, that was one of em.Anyways, the quality is not here at all. Disappointed in this purchase. Be hesitant to buy something like this again.

I had much higher hopes for this tool. Bought the brand name and paid top dollar. Alignment of jaws is average. What I wanted, and did not receive, was some twist rigidity. Usually if you've pulled out the needle nose vise-grips you have limited space but still need to exert some force to get things moving. Disappointed, cannot recommend.

Excellent manufacturing quality, smooth operation both opening and closing.
