This item is sturdy and does the job. Like the way it keeps the laptop from overheating and the swivel feature is a great addition to the design. Would recommend

Really solid and excellent quality

I have been looking for a riser for my 17" Dell laptop. Up to now all of them were for 15" so not big enough. I tried one of those plastic ones. Waste of money. Then I spotted this one which is a bit wider and said suitable for 17".Really solid piece of kit Not flimsy metal. No rough patches and vent holes in correct places. Its fairly heavy so solid. Obviously not as wide as laptop but being solid it's no problem. It says clearly to pull up in middle not sides. It is very stiff so takes a bit of effort. BUT once there it stays put. This actually is an advantage as experience woth other equipment using thumb screws no matter how tight you get it, invariably it will start to sag. Might be hard to pull up and get into position, once there it stays there rock solid.The swivel function is really useful as there are times when you need to swivel laptop round to show screen to some one else. Has just the right friction and doesn't flop around once turned. Great piece of kit works just right and really pleased with it.

A good stand, I use it daily to good effect. Has great balance when fully extended.

Laptop has set on this since I bought it. Seems rock solid.
