Great wallet!
Great wallet! Nice and thin, perfect for front-pocket carry.Outer material seems very tough; I'm hoping it's more durable than the last sailcloth wallet (different brand) I had. This wallet has a cash pocket that fits American currency. Anything taller or wider than American currency will need to be folded. There are four credit card sized slots, two on each side slightly offset from each other (so it's easy to remove the cards from the slots underneath). The top card on each side is visible through clear plastic. One of the reasons I chose this particular wallet was for the way the credit card slots are oriented; cards slide in horizontally from the "spine" of the wallet, rather than vertically from the top. I've lost cards out of wallets in the past that had the card slots openings towards the top. (In other words, when this wallet is closed it's impossible for cards to fall out).As seen in the pictures there is no exterior branding. On the interior there is a small cloth label sewn on, one side says "Flowfold" and the other says "MADE IN USA Carry the future".The sailcloth these wallets are made out of is reinforced, that's the diamond pattern visible in the pictures (much more visible in the pictures of the light-colored wallets). It's sort of cool, but I chose black and in the black it's only visible at certain angles. You can feel it within the cloth, but it's subtle.I have no trouble putting this in or taking this out of my pocket. The material is more slippery than any leather wallet, but not nearly as slippery as my previous sailcloth wallet. It stays put in my pocket, it's not slick enough to slip out on its own. Some sailcloth wallets make a crinkle sound when handled and opened, like paper being crumpled. This wallet is fairly quiet. Not silent like a leather wallet, but it doesn't crinkle. At the time of this review my wallet currently holds my driver's license, a credit card, 5 more cards the same thickness as a credit card, and $27 (a ten, two fives, and seven ones). It's fairly thin despite how much I have in it, definitely thinner than any leather billfold! (Side note: I wouldn't carry cash at all if it weren't for gas stations giving a discount for using cash instead of cards. Stupid gas stations, cash is so last century.)edit: Two years and a few months later, my Flowfold Vanguard looks almost the same as the day it arrived. Really the only sign of use is a slight bend on the corners from carrying it in my pocket. Attached are pictures.I am very impressed with how well my wallet has held up that I just bought the RFID blocking version: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071X32BHB

THis is perfect! I used to have a traditional leather billfold
THis is perfect! I used to have a traditional leather billfold, although it was somewhat slim, it still bothered me due to the weight of it when I filled it with all of my cards. I had 3 IDs, 3 CCs, Library Card, Ikea Card, Insurance cards, and some cash. The thing is literally half of the size of the old wallet. It also weighs nothing, but slowly I've gotten used to its weight and can feel the wallet still there. Overall, in a traditional sense the wallet itself is nothing new, its just super lightweight and just the right size to ensure that everything fits. The contents do shift, but not to the point where anything would fall out. The material interior is see through, and finding the right card is fast. The exterior reminds me of nylon, it's supposedly sailing cloth, so if it can withstand powerful winds, I guess it's tough enough to go in and out of my pockets multiple times without getting worn out. If you're looking for an efficient way of carrying the normal daily cards and cash this is perfect!

Slim, light, perfect size!!
This wallet is fantastic! I carried just a card sleeve for a while but ended up being annoyed when I’d use cash and have to carry it loose. This is perfectly sized for my four cards per side, and handled various amounts of bills all night at the bar with aplomb. I wouldn’t want to try and carry, like, 100 in ones or something dumb with this but 10 or so bills at a time worked perfect. The material feels awesome, I love Xpac so this red version was right up my alley. Speaking of the color it’s nice and vibrant so you won’t need to look hard for your wallet when you set it down in your house.Construction is spot on and feels like it’s going to last a very, very long time.Absolutely worth the cost!

Pleasantly surprised
I am no fan of minimalist or slim/compact wallets, but for years I have had a thick bifold leather wallet that eats credit cards (by bending them and gradually cracking them with time and use). With the new chip cards being a lot more difficult to just stop into my CU and replace, that had to come to an end. I shopped like crazy for a couple of years (!) to find an affordable leather wallet that would hold as much content, but which wouldn't put the cards in a prone position for bending or have some other compromise (like a lack of a driver's license window). Nothing seemed to be out there. Finally decided to try the Vanguard Limited as a stopgap while I found something else, and... whaddaya know, I really like it.I keep my DL in one window pocket, my primary debit card in the other, and my various stacks of other cards in the pockets behind the windows. The Vanguard Limited definitely does not hold as much as my old wallet did - I am maxed out at about 12-14 cards, and I've had to give up on things like keeping a couple of guitar picks and a "wallet multitool" in there - but stacking the cards directly on top of each other keeps the cards in terrific shape. I have had no bending or wear of any of my cards in the several months I've been using this wallet, by which time my old wallet would have already created hairline cracks in several cards and friction marks on all of them. The Vanguard itself is holding up well after several months with all this content, and although I am a back-pocket hardliner I'll admit that it's nice that it's so thin, as I can easily throw it into my front pocket (even with my equally ridiculous collection of keys) when I'm not feeling super secure in a given area or crowded space. The biggest complaint I have is organization with this few pockets to choose from; it often takes me a few moments to find the credit card or membership card or whatever that I'm looking for. I knew this would be an issue going in, but I'll take that for now over having to constantly replace worn-out cards."Made in USA" and "priced affordably" were the two things (in addition to the directly-stacked card layout) that got me to give this a go, and for the most part I'm very glad I did. If they made a version of this with two windows and four pockets instead of two (like two add'l pockets parallel to the "main" pockets and sewn into the inside of the cash holder), I would buy it immediately.
