Great for compact cameras and light video setups, but limited for heavier rigs
I originally bought this Neewer TP37 tripod looking for an affordable yet sturdy option to improve stability in my video productions. For the price, I think it offers great features that you won't find in standard photo tripods: the twin-leg design provides decent lateral rigidity, and the fluid head allows for clean, smooth horizontal pans. Plus, the fact that the quick-release plate is Manfrotto-compatible is a huge plus for daily workflow convenience. However, you have to be aware of its mechanical limits. The fluid head is basic and lacks an advanced counter-balance system or an adjustable ball base. If you use it with a compact handheld camcorder or a standard DSLR, it works flawlessly. But in my case, when trying to add a large professional accessory that drastically shifts the center of gravity forward—like a heavy 12-inch teleprompter with an integrated monitor—the head tends to nose-dive due to the torque, forcing you to overtighten the tilt lock knob. Ultimately, for that level of heavy lifting, I had to upgrade to the higher-end model (the TP74 with the half-bowl system). Pros: Very budget-friendly for a twin-leg tripod design. Quite smooth horizontal panning movements for its class. Full compatibility with Manfrotto-style plates. Comes with a pretty practical carrying bag. Contras: The head is not a half-bowl type, making it tough to level the horizon quickly on uneven surfaces. It lacks stability if you mount gear that creates too much leverage or torque toward the front. Verdict: If you are going to use it for standard projects with lightweight cameras or simple setups, it's a 5 out of 5 for the money. If you plan on building a heavier production rig or mounting studio teleprompters with their own monitors, I recommend going straight for the professional version with a leveling base.

Performs like a tripod costing thousands more
This tripod is heavy, yes, but its one of the reasons it performs so well, like a Sachtler (Funny, just saw one on the set of the Great British Baking Show as I was typing this) or Vinten that costs a whole lot more. Not enough weight means jerky panning and tilting, at least in my opinion. The mid-level spreader is a nice plus when setting up for a shot on uneven terrain. I greatly prefer it to a ground spreader. One of my favorite features is the ball head. The handle to loosen the ball is very large, allowing me to (balance the head and) tighten it down quickly and securely. The motion on the head is very nice, too, approaching a pricy fluid head. The clips to hold the legs together while the tripod is collapsed aren't very heavy so they'll fail with heavy use, but I've never had a tripod with these types of clips so I'm not too worried about them breaking. The rest of the tripod is very well made. The locks are sturdy. All in all, a VERY nice tripod with truly professional features at an amazingly reasonable price. I expect to get very good use and great videos out of mine. A beautiful pan is well worth the weight, always.

An excellent product for the price you pay.
“An excellent tripod, top-notch quality all around. The fluid head is great, extremely well-made and very sturdy. Every detail of the tripod feels like it was built by a precision machine—its operation, everything about it is outstanding. The finishes and every small detail are first-class. For its price, this tripod delivers far more than what you’d expect. I recommend it to anyone considering buying itIt really hurt to have to return it, but it was way too big for my needs. I honestly made a mistake choosing it. You really need to pay close attention to the size and weight. For me, it just wasn’t what I needed for birdwatching or outdoor macro.Iwant to buy the same tripod brand with the same type of head, but a smaller one.

Solid Tripod with Great Quick-Release System
Pretty solid tripod overall. I’ve used it with heavier camera setups and it holds up well without feeling unstable. One of my favorite features is the quick release mechanism on the head. It’s smooth, secure, and makes swapping cameras fast and painless. Honestly, I just wish they sold the mounting plates separately so I could leave one attached to multiple cameras to avoid needing to constantly take it off to remount. But then again, I could just get another one lol. For the price, it’s a reliable option that handles more weight than you might expect and is easy to work with in real setups. It gets very tall, which is something I do enjoy and find that it comes in handy.

High-Quality, Good Price, Works Well, Looks Professional, & Impresses Potential Clients
A high-quality, professional-looking, smooth-moving, TALL easy-to-use tripod that works well with my Panasonic HC-X20 video camera. I'm able to secure my camera with two different-sized bolts rather than one. There are swiveling half rings at each bolt head to tighten the bolts, so coins/quarters are no longer required: NICE! There is some spring-loaded (I guess) action in the head that makes the camera point in unexpected, unintended directions, but I guess/hope it's something I will get used to, figure out how to use, and come to l❤️ve. I will update this review if any issues rear their ugly heads 👹 or if want to praise Neewer even more 😁

Excellent stability and fluidity for video.
I found it quite stable when recording my videos. It's easy to use and made of quality material. It's made of sturdy metal, with sturdy legs and a triangular mid-spreader that gives it great stability. It supports up to 17.6 pounds, which is perfect for DSLR cameras, camcorders, and even setups with telephoto lenses. The fluid head allows for 360° panning and a -70°/+90° tilt, providing smooth transitions in video. Additionally, the bubble level helps achieve perfect alignment. Its foldable design, along with the included carrying bag, allows me to take it anywhere. It comes with 1/4" and 3/8" screws, making it compatible with a wide variety of cameras and accessories, such as mirrorless cameras, sliders, and video rigs. The quick-lock QR system makes it easy to attach and detach the camera in seconds, saving time and effort. It's an incredible option for videographers and photographers.

A LOT of tripod for not much $$
The instruction booklet is not very helpful, only 4 of the 39 pages are in English, and they don't even mention the ball head levelling adjustment which is a super nice feature that videographers will appreciate. Unlike the instructions the product itself is just awesome. The pan and tilt movements are silky smooth, and locking them down doesn't change your camera alignment making it easy to use. With the first set of legs extended it is at a good working height, with the second set extended it's above my 6' head level. The locking levers have a very positive feel and they function well. It's very stable and has some substantial weight to it. During initial unboxing it seemed to be much more massive than I'd expected. However, once I set it up the first time I was impressed with the overall build quality, and it's something I'm sure I'll be happily using for many years to come. My only complaint is that the adjustment handle has to come off to fit in the storage bag, but honestly this is a minor inconvenience for such a good product, and this really is excellent value for money.
