Love it wish I had before and after pic but it didn't cross my mind. The video tutorial on how to switch it out was very easy to follow. One's completely installed. The controller felt brand smanking new. It had that nice firm velvetly grip to it like it had when I first took it out the box. went to a repair shop and they want it $85 to fix it Save half of that doing it myself. If I can do it, you can do it too great Buy no offense, but I hope I don't have to buy again. I usually take care of my stuff, but somehow I must squeeze the controller too hard after losing a game. Lol

I recently undertook a shell replacement for my Microsoft Elite Controller 2, primarily because the original textured hand grips were unfortunately starting to peel off. After completing the swap, I can confidently say I'm incredibly pleased with the results. The replacement shell worked exceptionally well. While the process required a bit of guidance, the video tutorial provided on the Amazon listing was invaluable and made the installation straightforward. The included tools were also very helpful, ensuring I had everything I needed to perform the operation. Visually, these replacement grips look exactly like the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. Looks good, and the controller feels brand new in my hands. During the shell swap, I made a crucial discovery: the controller's internal Li-Po battery was significantly puffed out, indicating damage. This was a critical finding, and I promptly ordered a new battery from Amazon, which thankfully arrived the very next day. Now, with both the new shell and a fresh battery, my expensive controller is good as new. This shell swap was definitely worth the effort, not just for the improved grips but also for uncovering and addressing the battery issue. This is spot on the best replacement product on the market right now for Xbox controllers. My controller grips came off the original and it was all beat up when I put the new one on. It was literally just like a brand new controller. The tools worked perfectly. It is very durable if not better than the original. It was great value for replacement part to feel is just of that as the original it fits perfectly. Everything provided was pretty straightforward and worked just as they needed to and now I have a few extra tools to throw in the toolbox as well.

Ok so the case is great, it feels high end and identical to the one already on the Elite V2. Soft rubbery plastic, super high end replacement. Swapping the internals over is not very hard but it is tedious. Just watch a youtube DIY video if you need to but it's very straightforward once you get in. In my second pic you will see a white sticker above the D pad to the right of the left analog there is a screw hiding under that and you'll have to break it or peel it up. The con to this set are the tools, they are plenty enough to get you going and get the controller disassembled, the problem comes when threading the screws into the new case you need a bit of force and that amount of force strips the bits for every one of them except the biggest size. Had I not already had a good precision set I would now be waiting a day or two for a new set of tools. Make absolutely sure to get at least a cheap set of precision driver bits with as many as possible or if the exact ones are listed in this listing then just make sure those are included, I cannot remember the sizes. They are all safety torx, 3 different sizes. Also if you for whatever reason want to not mangle the old controller case get a plastic spudger as this kit comes with a metal one and it destroys the original case. No big deal for me as my case's rubber overmolding was peeling off I wouldn't have reused it ever. Good luck!

The tutorial video on this is absolutely wonderful. Easy to follow along with. My controller looks absolutely wonderful like I just bought it and the black is the exact same as original. It is compatible with the series 2 controller. All the buttons are working still. If your controller needs to be replaced, by this product, worry free. You won't be disappointed.

This thing is amazing, it actually looks and feels like the OEM shell, (seemingly) without actual rubber wrapped around the grip. I'm pretty sure it's just one solid plastic piece with the texture of the rubber grip so it won't peel like the garbage original Microsoft shell. I can't recommend this enough if you want your controller to look/feel original. I haven't had it long, so I can't speak to how well the markings will hold up or if they will fade over time. I actually used this swap time to fix my left bumper as well by cleaning the actuator button with some isopropyl alcohol and now my $200 controller that was a huge disappointment is back to that out of the box excited to use feel.

Have purchased this item twice as BOTH my Elite 2 controller grips started peeling off. Much to my surprise, when removing the original casing the controller is a thin layer of plastic with a silicone like material laid on top. Over time the glue separates from the plastic & then the plastic breaks. I haven't dropped my controllers either. I also purchased back paddle inserts to tighten up the input lag. I really like this kit but recommend using a better screwdriver as the heads strip easily.

Pros: looks very good, feels like the original when new, somewhat simple repair, grips feel good, fit as intended Cons: PRICE- - not worth the $60+ considering the top shell is NOT the same as the original lacking the “battle damage” effects as well PRICE pt2 - - there’s uneven rubber on the grips assuming from the mold at the factory, unacceptable for price ESPECIALLY since they aren’t providing new magnets or screws or anything the other (from the same company) kits come with. Color matching of the rings that go where the sticks are is off, the new rings are darker Color matching of the darker green bits on the top shell are the wrong color. Just take a very close look at the pictures.

So far it's amazing. I jist used the top part. Am changing the bottom part soon. Tools provided for the task. But a small instruction would be better. Rather just sending the item and leave it on the customer to figure out how to.

Bit fiddly but with a YouTube guide, pretty straight forward, even for someone with no experience in this sort of thing. All the tools provided worked great and had saved me around £120 by not having to buy a new one!

Der Artikel hält genau was er verspricht, zumindest für mich ist er nicht vom Orginal zu unterscheiden. Aber: es liegt weder ein QR Code noch eine Anleitung bei. Auf YouTube findet man Videos die das Öffnen des Controllers beschreiben. Dabei ist aber zu beachten dass fast das ganze Innenleben ganz einfach hergenommen werden kann, viel mehr Arbeit ist nicht notwendig. Auf keinen Fall die Sticks demontieren. Das beiliegende Wekzeug ist ausreichend und sehr hilfreich. Vor dem Zusammenbau sollte überprüft werden ob die beiden runden Magnete richtig montiert sind ( ziehen den Controller in Position beim Laden in der Ladeschale ). Diese müssen mit doppelseitigem Klebeband- das leider nicht beiliegend ist fixiert werden. Empfehlenswert ist auch die Paddels vorher zu testen. Ich habe dafür ca. 30Minuten benötigt, habe mir aber auch viel Zeit gelassen.
