KA8016 Chrome 5 Lug Spider Cap (for Ford, Hot Rod, Custom, Fits 5x4.5 bp)

These went on my 64 Fairlane and definitely spiced them up!

These spidercaps are complete garbage. The “chrome” lug nut covers are plastic and one time use. The tack welds that hold the mounting plate to the center cap are trash. My dead grandmother could weld better. This is hands down the WORST product I have ever bought on amazon. If I didn’t have to give it one star... I wouldn’t.

As a builder of hot rods and customs for over 50 years, I have seen several variations of these. I like these the best for the simple reason you do not have to remove 5 VERY small screws to get the bullet lug nut cover ring off to get to the lug nuts. I seen very negative review because the spot weld on the retainer ring for the center bullet did not hold. SO WHAT? That spot weld is only there to keep them together as a unit. It IS NOT critical that it even be there. The spider ring holds the bullet TIGHT to the wheel when the lug nuts are tightened down. If a person has any engineering sense at all they can see how they work, which is very good. I prefer to use Chrome bullet lug nuts, opposed to the plastic push on nut covers that come with these, for the simple reason I don't like how hard they come off, and are prone to breaking. The chrome bullet lug nuts look better also. Plus I have a real problem with chrome plated plastic on any of my builds, or on any of my own street rods and customs. To sum it up,,, I love these, and the way they look.
