Excellent Lig for Otto Link STM
I purchased this ligature to use on an old Florida Link that I purchased in the early '70s. So far, I like the way it functions, and seems to affect the sound in a positive manner. (Ligatures do make a difference although not as major a difference as some folks state.). I had to shape the lig on the mouthpiece by setting it up with a reed and then tightening the screws to force lig to fit the contours of the mouthpiece. After that process, the lig lines up perfectly and I see no need to put cork or anything alongside the ridge on top. I have only used it for a few weeks so I cannot attest to its durability over time. The price seems reasonable for what you are getting and compared to other ligs. I have used a Rovner on the Link as well but I often had a problem with the reed slipping when adjusting the mouthpiece. No problem with this H-Lig.

Too big for most bari sax mouthpieces.
I have the alto and tenor versions of this ligature. They are excellent. This is too big for the Rico Metalite, Yamaha, and Jody Jazz baritone saxophone mouthpieces.

Best ligature I have used
I have several types of ligatures. I was satisfied with any of them, so I decided to try this one. Love it. It is very free flowing, the sound is excellent. I use it with Legere European cut reed. This reed is wider than standard so possibly that is why I had trouble with the other ligatures. The downside is it is a bit of a pain to adjust at first and it is somewhat delicate - you don't want to squash it.

Hard to center on synthetic reeds.
3 different synthetic reeds, centered best with some difficulty on cheapest, very hard on other 2. Was going to send back, tried on regular reeds, works great. Keeping.

tl:dr alto mouthpiece is great; soprano mouthpiece is alright.
The ligature arrived looking very rusty with dust particles that came of onto my hand. So of course, I thought I was cheated out of my money and received a used one. A few days later I noticed it wasn’t as rusty as it was on day one, so I rigorously wiped the rest of it off and now it looks worth the $30+ I payed for. Dunno why the ligature looked like it belonged in the ending battlefield of Avengers Endgame when it arrived, the presentation could’ve been a whole lot better. Also random findings: I expected there to be D’addario branding but instead it was Rico—funny enough, I ordered a gold H-Ligature for my soprano mouthpiece and it came with D’addario branding when I expected Rico. With that being said, that ligature I ordered for my soprano mouthpiece (selmer concept) is slightly too small; it fits my C* fine, however.

Finally delivered in good shape
FINALLY. This is the 4th Rico H Ligature I've ordered from Amazon. I returned three because they were shipped in bags and the package containing the ligature and cap was crushed as was the ligature.T his time the product was shipped in a box and it arrived in good condition. I play tenor and found the tenor metal ligature doesn't fit tight on all my metal mouthpieces, so I ordered an alto model this time.

Great vibration well crafted...Note postioning
Very well made ligature based on classic design allowing easier 5C and 6Cs and a rich resonance in the lowest notes. It should be noted this ligature influences greatly the sound and reed resonance based on its' positioning ( up / down ) on reed mouthpiece combination. This is mainly due to the mouthpiece table design of a particular mouthpiece which may be either flat or slightly concave. A flat table designed mouthpiece is less affected, however a mouthpiece design having say a .0002" to .001" deep gradual concave valley dip located under where the lower half of the reed is clamped creates variations on the reed vibration sounds. Each ligature position tried will influence the angle of the spring board created by the clamping action of the ligature on the valley and give a different reed response. These changing spring board angles created, change the main reed tension adding openness to the reed when it does vibrate. Sliding the ligature up or down by 1/16" degree increments allow the point of the clamping action contact in the concave valley to be different creating colored patterns of reed sound vibrations. Do Not over-tighten ligature and experiment with positions up to +- 1/8". Just thought this may be interesting to some.

Darn Good for the Price.
I actually use this ligature on a Morgan Excalibur HR for Alto Sax. This is my second H-Ligature, the other is an alto sized used on Tenor Morgan Excalibur. I am not really 'set-up centric' since there are so many variables in creating a good sound. What you feel and hear is greatly exaggerated to what is heard by others between different set-ups. Anyhow I stumbled on these after I accidentally squished my Vandoren 'masters' ligature and also needed a cap for tenor. It was just a little more to get a cap and lig together and I actually liked the ligature after I received it.What made me switch to these is that with the four pressure points you can get a little dimpling that helps in consistent set up and not as small as say Vandoren optimum 4 point plate which if you accidentally close but wrong is hard to remedy. As for sound I don't think it impairs it and I feel it is neutral in terms of 'dark or light/bright. The reeds that I rotate with are Rico Jazz select unfiled, Legere Signature and Regular. Ultimately it is just a ligature and practice is where your sound really comes from. Good thing you don't have to spend a lot for one.

Package squashed
Looks OK. Thought it was Rico but make was different. It came a bit out of shape and the box squashed. Not sure if packed by amazon or who. I think I got it back in shape. Hopefully it will be ok when I try it out

Nice Tone
Bought this for a Law Buzzer which is the same shape as an Otto Link without the ridge. When it arrived I couldn't find my flipping mouthpiece so I tried it an an Alto Dukoff which had never really worked for me and lived in a drawer. It now sounds great with this lig' and I am delighted.I found the Tenor Law mouthpiece and it also sounds great with the Rico lig' so I am doubly delighted.Unfortunately I am so pleased with it that I have ordered another for my ebonite pieces to see if raises their game too, so this may turn into an expensive project.

... is not the right size for an Otto Link Super Tone master
Take note this is not the right size for an Otto Link Super Tone master . Maybe for otto like mouthpieces .It is way too tight so the thumb screws are at the end of the thread and it is barely on .Two stars for being well madeMinus three for misleading and a waste of time
