It would be incorrect to say that this book is about a story. It is about magic.
The media could not be loaded. The story is about a duel between two magicians, Marco and Celia. They have been trained their entire life for the duel and that is the base throughout the book. The duel takes place at a mysterious circus that appears only at night. Their duel affects all those around them and the story describes how and when in a unique way as well. The book structure is different. It is not chronological, so a good amount of attention is necessary. That is the basic summary. It would be incorrect to say that this book is about the story. It is about magic. As a reader, this book cast a spell on me because of its rich descriptions and how the author has pushed imagination to a limit where it envelops your senses and transports you such that you are standing right there in the scene being described. It is a talent. It is such a talent to be able to do that. You imagine the circus, the tents, the magic in them, the ballrooms, the houses, the streets, the characters, the clothes. You can imagine everything. That is how it is written. You read the book without wanting to stop because you are so involved in that setting that the real world feels a little fake. You are at a different plane of reality.I would say the story was a little of a let-down. But I really don’t know what could have been different. Maybe the ethereal writing built up my expectations too much for any ending to be a satisfying one.Don’t go looking for an extraordinary story. Though it is definitely gripping enough. But if you are looking for extraordinary writing and need to indulge in some fantastic fantasy then you will not be disappointed. A must read for sure.

YOU MAY ENTER THE CIRCUS NOW..
The book came in great condition... No damages at all. Now moving on to the content of the book... It was AMAZING.. the atmosphere of the book was so realistic. You could feel that you are there in the circus. The anecdotes are really great. If you are looking for a fast paced and drama filled book then this is not for you. This book is slow paced and it is really very detailed and it is mainly character driven. If you want to read something unique and fantastic then this is the perfect book. And pls don't go into the book thinking that there will be a huge competition.. Two people fighting against each other etc.. This is not exactly like that and many people get dissapointed. This is a more matured book and it deals with certain issues and it's really great.

Beautiful cover but a bit damaged on the side I let slide
The media could not be loaded. The book is so damn gorgeous. I loved the cover. Haven't read it yet but I am in love with the cover. Just the only problem is that it was damaged on the side. And it's so beautiful that I am not returning it. Except that one it seems fine to me. *add suspenseful music* Yet.Hope it's helpful thoI'd say if you love to have a beautiful collection go for this one. I don't like the other cover as much as I find this, the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.Farewell guys. Gonna read it now

The circus arrives without warning.
No announcement! No Notification! Nothing! The circus arrives without warning.Cover –The cover is not colourful, yet it is fascinating. It had only three colours black, which is also my favourite colour, a white and little bit of red in it. It sometimes makes me think about human life. Black and white life is more beautiful than coloured life. Colours have many hidden secrets whereas there are no hidden secrets in the black and white.Storyline –The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it, no paper notices on downtown posts and billboard, no mentions or advertisements in the local newspaper. It is simply there when yesterday it was not. The towering tents are striped in white and black, no golds, and crimsons to be seen. Black and white stripes on grey sky; countless tents of varying shapes and sizes, with an elaborate wrought-iron fence encasing them in a colourless world. Conclusion –In a nutshell, the book is one of those books that make it incredibly hard to write a proper review. If I’m entirely honest, I have to admit that I don’t even know where to start. This book holds a whole new magical world for every reader.“A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.”

The book condition was bad
The book was not in the perfect condition. The paper quality was bad. It looked more like a used and drenched book

"The finest of pleasures are always the unexpected ones"
I've never read something like this before. I truely enjoyed this book. The intricate detailing of the lines were such an experience. And the book itself looked so beautiful. Truely it was something to be adored.

Great book!
I really liked this book so much! The story is so, so well written with beautiful descriptions. You almost want to follow the circus yourself! I felt like the ending was a little flat, but overall I was enthralled with

Gute Fantasy
Leider nur das zweitbeste Fantasy-Buch, das ich kenne. Das beste ist das zweite Buch von Erin Morgenstern: "The Starless Sea" ;-)

A Tough Cookie, this one.
If I wished to be rough on this tough cookie, I'd say... it's a romantic manga in B&W--just without the graphics. When placing it in the shopping basket here, I had no idea the book was categorized as Vintage Children's Classics, thus I didn't approach it as such. I still think, it wasn't meant to be for children/teenagers, more like directed for those as an after-thought by the editors. True, the whole narrative is told in the English Present Tenses with hardly any mention of the Past. I think I came across 4 statements that had been constructed in the Past Tense and even those appeared after the 400th page which, at times, reminded me of screenplays. The book is heavy with inexperience: set in the 19th century, the story supposedly runs around the most important capitals of the world yet fails miserably in borrowing the imagery of any of those. In fact, the circus could have been setup on Mars in the year 7510 and it wouldn't make any difference.Still, the book has some amazing bursts of rich and fluent writing that do remind one of the way 19th Century classics were created by feverish minds of geniuses. The Night Circus offers a swift ride to Lala-Land.
