Just finished reading vol 7 and its insane! this is the part where tokyo ghoul changed forever, this is one of the best volumes.

"What's 1000 minus 7 ?" Just go for it and you Will realise what potential this series has!!!

This is the point of no return for Tokyo Ghoul's story. Nothing is the same after this volume. Sui Ishida is a master of tragedy.

This one really drilled in the horror aspect of the series for me. So after the HUGE cliffhanger from the last book we finally find out that our beloved coffee shop groups going to go after Kaneki! But Toaka and Nishio aren't too thrilled that the Gourmet still lives and is teaming up with the rescue team. I mean I'm with Toaka and Nishio on this one, even though Shu's got class and taste his taste is the worrisome part. To save the others from dying, Kaneki agrees to go with Yamori and have him as a boss. Little does our poor Kaneki realize this is a bad step. Yamori's actually a torturer who thrives on mutilation, but I mean hey ghouls heal so the cycles never ending. After learning from the previous volume that the Kagune's a separate sack in a ghoul's body and also from the previous volume we get asked a question that's never come to mind. What organ did Kaneki really get from Rize? Kaneki was merely an experiment in a doctor's plan, but for what and why? So I kind of understand why Yamori's torturing Kaneki in the sense that he wants to prove to Kaneki that he's a monster, a GHOUL. Kaneki's been wishy-washy from the get go about being a ghoul, but now with the torture and his body regenerating parts he's realizing things. Also, Rize appears again like before in the sense that she's inside Kaneki's head. I must say the more I learn about Rize the more I kind of like her. Okay so Aogiri's a group of elite ghouls who only wish to fight. Both humans and ghouls alike to prove that ghouls are superior to everyone. Even to other ghouls if they stand in the way. This groups been targeting and thinning out the dove's like mad. The 11th wards been taken over and turned into a war zone. In finding the location of the ghoul hive the Dove's are going in for the kill. This just so happens to be the same place Kaneki's being held at as well as Banjo and the remaining survivors. Come on, when bad guys say come with me and we'll let your friends live they really mean to say, "Come with me and we'll kill your friends after your tucked away where we want you." Kaneki has to decide whether he's a ghoul or not in this volume. Also Juzo's up to some crazy antics as he tries to be patient. But I mean who wants to play by the rules and be safe? Cough, Amon, cough. Juzo does a pretty awesome stunt to allow the Dove's access into the building. In busts Amon and his team as they try to take back the towers Aogiri has taken. Our group of ghouls are trying to avoid the Dove's and find Kaneki. It's a matter of time and racing to get in and out alive. Action packed in every scene and the hunger for the next volume just entesifies until the very end. Where you come face to face with another cliffhanger! Because of the sadistic ways of Yamori and his torturing methods, there are a little more gross scenes and unsettling ones. It'd really suck to be a ghoul and tortured, you don't die easily. Kaneki endures some hardcore stuff, but I promise the main character of our series is a fighter. Language and some intense scenes but still an excellent read. Now where's my wallet?

I love this manga but it got damaged in the mail so I can’t use it as decoration.

The major turning point in the series and is a very emotional volume for many of the characters in Tokyo Ghoul. Containing very action packed scenes, interesting character development and setting the stage for the rest of the series. As a fan of TG, this is a very good Tokyo Ghoul volume and I highly suggest picking this one up. For new readers to TG, I'd suggest reading the other volumes before hand if you haven't (duh, it's the 7th volume). However if you are caught up with TG, this is a must have for fans of the series.

I finally got the courage to start collecting manga after years of contemplation. This is the first one I got, because it’s my personal favorite volume. It’s in perfect condition, no scratches, bends or bruises. Amazing.
