10/10 for intermediate climbers

Not sure why so many reviews are recommending to size down. I am a size 9.5 in most shoes, while my foot measures an exact size 9. In this shoe I tried a lot of sizes trying to figure out what would fit and ended up having to go all the way up to a 10.5 equivalent just to get my foot to fit into it. Sizing down meant my big toes were literally smashed and bent at the end. Even at a 10.5 my big toes are pressed to the end, but at least not painfully so. Just wanted others to be aware to just try a lot of sizes and be careful until you know for sure what is right for you.

Shoes were a major step up over the rentals. I have really enjoyed their utility and how they performed while bouldering, but they just haven't lasted. My routine is 2x a week for 2 hours each session. The rubber has basically delaminated completely from the shoe in only 4 months of use. The rubber isn't warn it's just come completely unglued around the toes and back by the inseam and the heal.I need a new pair of shoes but I am very reluctant to spend another 90 dollars for shows that will not last

Street shoes I wear a 9.5 but in this shoe I wear an 8. That's to keep them tight though the life of the shoe. I'm climbing 5.11 and v5s currently and couldn't be happier with the shoe. It will probably be my go to shoes for the foreseeable future. I'm not feeling hindered by the shoe even when trying roofs or harder 5.12s.

This is my second pair of La Sportiva rock climbing shoes. Was very happy with the first pair, wanted a fresh pair after using the other pair for a little over a year. The TarantuLace's are a solid shoe at an affordable price.
