For Clothing / Closet Moths
First, I've tried about a dozen brands of moth traps, and they all work pretty well. Any of the pheromone traps are going to catch moths. On these, you're paying a little extra for two things - first, the trap itself is more visible at night. And also it's supposed to be extra-strength and longer lasting (90 days).I will add, there's two things that go into the effectiveness of the trap - does it still smell (all of them fade), and is it still sticky (a dusty location means the stickiness goes away). But I have traps that are still working after 12 months - I'm sure the pheromone is very faint if not gone completely, but if the moth happens to land on it, it still catches it.The other thing about these UltraPestcide traps - they are definitely intended for clothing moths, but they did indeed catch a couple pantry moths, a gypsy moth, and some gnats. Overall I'm happy with the performance.I will add, I'm also pretty impressed with the brand MothMag - about half the price, and seems to catch the most moths (about 10% more than the other traps). Again though, unless you're in a lab setting with a controlled environment, it's difficult to tell how well they're performing - the first trap may have knocked out most of the population. So when you rotate the traps, obviously the second trap is going to catch fewer. And, the MothMag doesn't have those two key features - the higher visibility and the extra strength pheromones. The other thing I learned - we moved into a house, I never saw a moth, and I didn't know I had a moth problem. But they must have been in the carpets, attic, wool area rugs, etc. After a few months I would see a moth here and there, but then in the Spring I pulled out my nice wool suits and found dozens of holes in them. I decided to get serious about the moths, and put up multiple traps in each room - and easily caught 100 moths. So if you see one or two, you may actually have dozens or hundreds hiding somewhere. My recommendation would be to get both kinds of traps (pantry and closet), and put out lots of traps so you can assess the problem and help identify and eliminate the source.

Great product
I ordered these as a "just in case" and am so glad I did. I had no idea I had moths in my closets that have huge investments of clothes. I am so careful with the cleanliness and organizaiton of my closets that the evidence of this was a very scarry discovery. The instructions indicated that moths may take some time to be captured. I showed indications of moths within two days. Obviously, I was very surprised and alarmed to learn I had issues that I didn't know about. I immediately ordered more and will place more in all of my clothes closets, storage bins, linen closets and behind curtains on window sills. The triangular fold and hanger is cleverly designed so that these traps can be hung from anywhere or placed on shelves or on the floor. They can also be laid flat.I recommended to all of my friends that they order these regardless of whether they see evidences of moths or not. Obviously, these pesky insects are not evident and can cause so much damage to expensive clothes and fabric investments.

Hard to say
I originally got these to help prevent flying insects within my garden. however I haven't seen much become stuck. to this (maybe that's a good thing?). I think i got a baby hornet, and a couple other small flyers, but nothing to write home about. Again, I decided to use these outdoors, instead of indoors, as i thought I had a moth issue within my potato bags, but now i'm not too sure anymore. This could be entirely user error, and I know these work best indoors, so I dunno. I like the pouches they come in, and they were fairly easy to set up. I do wish that the handle had some added strength though, as if it gets wet, it warps and falls.

4 star – second best?
We have had a couple of major clothes moth infestations over the years that required heroic measures to conquer; freezing and using dry ice treatments on some valuable items and disposing of others. Since then, for the past few years, we always keep a few clothing moth traps in each bedroom of the house and those traps typically collect a few moths each week. I have tried several different brands, usually purchasing the least expensive, and most seem to do the job, although one we tried recently failed to trap anything. To more carefully test these UltraPesticide traps, I set one up near a trap from another brand that we know works well; you can see it on the left in the attached photo. The UltraPesticide trap caught three moths over a period of one month while the other one caught too many to count near the same location as this UltrPesticide trap. That said, another one of those other traps in a different location also only caught three moths and both were up a few weeks earlier so perhaps there was an abundance of moths then. On the other hand, the other brand might have stronger pheromones or ones more closely attuned to our local bugs. Still, the UltraPesticide trap works and it might work better if it was not competing with another trap. To be safe, however, I’d recommend going with that other brand.

Basic, easy to use pheromone moth traps
The moth traps are easy to unpack fold and hang. The 12 pack will provide enough traps for a while and stores easily. Each trap is sealed in a silver envelope that has absolutely no marking so it is recommended to store them in the box so we remember what they are.The packs are easy to open and the traps are easy to fold in place after peeling the protective sheet that covers the glue.Included are also sheets of green circular stickers (one for each trap) but they are not mentioned in the instructions and their purpose is not clear at all. It is not obvious what we are supposed to do with them or why they are even included.Overall, despite the poorly written limited instructions on the back of the box, these traps are easy to use and will do the job.
