These pans were a very pleasant surprise.
Wow. We got a set of pans for Christmas about 5 years ago. Had the 12”, 10” and 8”. The warranty was a lifetime warranty. We have had the 12” replaced at least 3 times. And the coating in the very center of two of the replacements failed. All three pans warped. And, by the way, the pans weigh a ton. The last pan replaced came with a notice that the pans in the set are limited to a 10 year warranty now. So apparently the number of replacements people requested was putting a dent in their profits. I finally broke down and bought a new version of the 12” pan. What a delight, it looks exactly the same as the old pans but much lighter. The heat dissipates quickly cause less chance of warping. The cost less too. I was so pleased, I bought the 10” and the 8” to replace the old ones. The old lids fit the new pans too. Time will tell on the coating, but so far I am very pleased.

I expect it to last years.
This skillet is well made, on the lighter side, and is very much a "non-stick" pan. I expect it to last years.

Best frying pan ever.
I had this in my cart for months. Back and forth on if I should get it. I use cast iron all the time. Finally bought it. Best cooking decision of my life. Usually a person goes through phases. They start out with a matching pot and pan set. Then they get better at cooking and realize a matching set doesn't work. Need different pans for different stuff. If your still in the matching set phase, just buy this. It doesn't matter if it matches. They also sell sets but at least get this one. You will eat the best eggs you ever cooked in this pan. Burgers brown perfectly. It's comparable to cast iron but don't need to season it. Needs a bit of soap when washing to get rid of the grease, but a couple swipes and it's clean. And the bottom doesn't get all black (which is cooking pride for some of us, but some don't like the burnt black bottom of a frying pan. I do because it reminds me of how much use I've gotten out of a pan. But this one stays clean). I love this thing. I can cook better than 95 percent of restaurants in my city. And this is my favorite pan. Oh and if you know the correct way to cook hash browns (soak in water, use oil and butter....), you gotta cook hash browns in this thing....if you don't know the correct way to cook hash browns, trust me, you have to learn. You'll never want them from a diner again. Anyway buy this!

You only get what you pay for.
We have several Calphalon pots and pans. And when our 'other brand' teflon/whatever pan started sticking I knew what my choice would be. Yes this brand tends to be pricy but it also seem to last forever. We have several other pots that are well over 15 years old. And their guarantee is one of the best, but I have never had a need to use it. The only suggestion I can make is if you think you want this pan or any other Calphalon you might want to do some price watching here on Amazon. There are a few vendors besides the actual company that sell these pans. And with a bit of patience you can save a fair amount of money. I lucked out by doing just that.

Cheap, thin metal.
Cheap compared to same skillet bought 4 years ago. About 1/3 the metal was used- Handle and skillet so much thinner than previous. I will not buy it again. I would have rather you raised your prices to keep the same quality.

Wonderful
I gave this as a gift. The recipient is loving it and it is doing a marvelous job.

Good pan but not as thick as my other Cal pans. Handle also not the same. It releases food well and is not too heavy for a big pan. Made in China 😤
