CPR MASK

Have trained (Wilderness First Responder) using this and the Pocket Mask. Numask is easier and more compact. Can use one hand to keep in place, and could be secured in place with tape if necessary.

I have this in my first aid kit. It's a good deal smaller than a regular CPR mask, which is nice, as I hate carrying more volume. Luckily, haven't had to use it. It's nice that I can be a bit further from my patient, and its ability to self-clear vomit makes it quite a bit easier to manage. Compatibility with the hand-pump that EMT's usually carry is nice. Weight-wise, it's similar to a CPR mask with its case, but I'll take the space savings any day. Only issue I have is the ability to clean it in the field - not that I want to be dealing with that situation, but in an MCI, I have doubts about the ability of dunking this in bleach to sanitize it enough, because of all the small spaces.

I am giving this a 5 star rating because it is an innovative design that gives you the most effective CPR mask in the most compact package. There are smaller CPR masks or shields but in my experience (full disclosure only having tried them on CPR dummies), the plastic sheet with a small valve type can be difficult to get a seal, and can make it hard to properly see the inflation of the lungs. This mask insures a good seal (it goes in the mouth in front of the teeth) and gives you room to rotate your head and give breaths while looking at the chest of the patient. It also takes up less room than the larger type that come with a firm rubber mask and gasket that fit over the mouth of the patient, making this ideal for car, and outdoor first aid kits.

Great idea for cpr emergency and easy to use . Great to have on hand to save a life. Quick delivery with no problems.

Haven't used it yet and hope to keep it that way. Bought 3 though for our family. Came highly recommended from ski patrol friends.

This mask is great. I wish my department would switch to these, as it is now I have to buy my own.I have used this product for actual CPR as an EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) and it is much better than the traditional masks as it stays in place during compression's saving valuable seconds. It is smaller than traditional masks while providing the same level of protection. Granted there are smaller masks out there, however the separation provided by a plastic sheet and filter is not enough for me to be comfortable using it. Even with this I found myself wishing for a BVM (Bag Valve Mask) due to the fluids, sounds, and proximity of my face to a person I knew nothing about.This mask is also great because it can be used for infants and children.
