Batteries come w infrared thermometer. Works great right out of the box. Now I know how hot skillets and pots are! Haven't used meat probe yet. Battery already installed. Read 96 under my tongue so I'm guessing all is well.

Cool product with questionable accuracy, received damaged. It was poorly packaged by amazon, shipped in an envelop only. Temperature readings are off about 5F. Its going back.
