Radio Upgrade for Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 2009/2010/2011/2012,Car Stereo Replacement with Carplay & Android Auto 10 Inch Touch Screen Bluetooth GPS Navigation(Free Reverse Camera Included)

For the price I am very impressed. I wanted Apple CarPlay and this has it. It looks great when fully installed and first testing it out it works well. I installed it in a 2017 Jeep JKU, replacing the stock radio with this. I would give this 4.5 stars if I could but I am rounding up to 5 because overall I am happy with it.The Bad: you loose your Sirius XM connection; however I can stream it from my phone via car play so it is not an actual loss and may be a plus since I have a subscription for my other vehicle as well so I can cancel my the subscription for my jeep.The other bad: it does not come with any directions. That being said the hookup was fairly intuitive. There is only one spot where you can plug the wrong thing in but if you match the male connection that only has two prongs out of the 6 (or 8?) possible to the female connection that has two output cables you will be correct. Keep the white radio connection (AM/FM) and do not connect the yellow one. There is also another connection that you will not use, I don’t know but I suspect that is UConnect which you don’t need as the radio has all of that functionality internally. I watched a YouTube video on how to remove my stock radio and that was very helpful.To rout the cables where I wanted them I attached a piece of shot line to a flexible plastic rod (actually very thin piece of pvc piping) and use that to guide the line to where I wanted the cable. I tied the cable to the other end of the line and pulled it through. This is most applicable to the two usb ports which I had come out below the center and in-front of the dash board, one on drivers side and one on passengers side (see my photos). I routed the mic infront of the dash under the rubber gasket to just left of the driver side window. I routed the gps antenna in a similar way but installed it front center of the dash board. (See pics)I do not have an amp or rear camera, both of which I think would have complicated the install. I left all of those wires unconnected and that does not seem to be an issue. I did not test the steering wheel controls but honestly I don’t use those anyways.Overall this appears to be a quality product and if you want an affordable way to install CarPlay in you Jeep JK this appears to be a great choice, at least so far (writing review on day after install)

This unit continues to have issues and I have to do a factory reset about every 2 weeks.It has many issues.There is an app named "touch assist" that always displays a little white dot on the screen and there is no way to disable it. It also has permission for everything it wants and again no way to deny those permissions.There are multiple home screens to choose from but there is no way to change what shows on most of them. It will sort of let you change the app list on the lower left corner on one but even that does not work correctly. It is constantly changing mine to show what it wants and not what I want.Even though the description says otherwise, it does connect with Android Auto Wirelessly.It really needs 4GB of RAM vs the 2 it has.

The media could not be loaded.  First I was hesitant because the unit came with NO instruction manual but after going through online...installation and outcome was easier than I expected.The unit arrived in prestine condition, every pieces in their own separate plastic containers. Before proceeding, I check several online site to prepare the wiring harness (e.g., connecting and soldering several wires (key 1 and key 2 wires connected together), blue and pink wires - if you have an Alpine amplifier, black brake lines together, etc)). All connected wires are wrapped using shrink shield tapes. And then wires are organized using velcro wrap.Installation was easy in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler since I was replacing my existing 430N touch-screen unit. In the end, this product made it look like an OEM product. In addition, this unit kept all my existing buttons to still work - all of them (scan, volume, making and picking up calls, etc.). The best part, which I think was the kicker - this headunit made my Alpine 9-speaker unit sound 10x better!!! I really like this unit.Look, for the price I paid (appx $267) - this is definitely an alternate for my OEM radio which the dealer wanted $1500.Functions I gained (since the unit use CANBUS to communicate) - (1) my backup camera has a dynamic outline on the screen that shows me the direction of the steering and wheel, (2) screens displays is bigger and better than the ORM, (3) Navigation is through either Android Auto or Apple Carplay, and (4) many many more. Besides the backup, I have also installed a front camera.To the manufacturer of this radio - you did a very good job in a quality product. The only thing I can suggest is to please include an installation procedure/manual, a content list, and last - an operation manual. But heck, I have figured all those by myself but it will be a lot easier for everyone else if you include the items i mentioned.Give me a few weeks or at least month and I will post an update - for now.... the product is working and it has more features than i expected.

After finally getting everything setup and working, after @a week, my radio and Bluetooth music sounded AWFUL. Lots of static. Looking to make sure all my connections were good, I noticed the 4G antenna connection wires got disconnected for connector due to having to be bent to connect to the stereo. I messaged the company for a replacement and their solution was for me to buy and pay for a 4g sim card that can be added behind the stereo, instead of fixing their design flaw. Why should I have to pay for an added service when connecting my phone that's already paid for, should be enough. Sending this product back and ordering from another Company. Thanks but NO THANKS!!
