Pelsee Great Product!
This mirror dash cam is amazing, I feel so much safer using this product. No more blind spots, this camera sees it all for me. I have to say Pelsee customer service is outstanding, they go above and beyond for their customers! I had a hardwire issue, no fault of the camera or Pelsee but Jasmine (customer service) talked me through every step to get things right. She never gave up on me, that says a lot about this company. The dash cam works great, I don't know how I lived without it before (for safety reasons). The recordings are very clear and will be very useful if I am ever in an accident. It is very easy to setup and use, plug and play really if not using the hardwire. I used the hardwire kit because when using the mirror, I can see so much more with this camera mirror than a regular rear view mirror, much more detail and wider than the original mirror. The app works great; it makes viewing the recordings on the SD card much easier, I just wish I didn't have to be within 15' of my car to use the app. Thats not a deal breaker though, great product. All in all, very good quality and value for the money. This company really stands behind their products!

Great camera system for the price!
Wonderful dashcam that just works. Put an SD card in, run your wires and go. Shouldn’t take more than an hour even if you have no idea what you’re doing. Instructions are straight forward and simple. Company has a wonderful support team if any issues arise such as a broken cable or malfunctioning system. Video quality is top notch from the front and rear. Split screen, or a stretched view of the rear are both easy to see day and night. Video transfers to phone are smooth with their app that actually works pretty well. Most of these cameras have an app that is buggy and doesn’t transfer proper full 4k videos but this one I have no complaints. Very bright screen with adjustable dimming and super easy to mount over your preexisting mirror.

This is AWESOME! But...
I LOVE this mirror, I've been wanting a back up camera for my car but there's no room or work around for a screen on my dash. I found this and it was an instant buy, especially after all the ravings on reviews. I got it in the beginning of November, so I have enough knowledge to give a true review. All the options, two cameras, and all that are absolutely great, but there are some issues I'd like to address. 1st, it's not too bad with me, but sometimes voice command fails... even miserably at times. I would advise a program to record (to recognize) individuals, because... we all speak differently. Let's see, there are people who's native language are foreign and don't speak English fluently, people with different accent, like southern, Australian, UK, etc... and people nearly deaf with large ranges of speech impairments (I'm nearly deaf and my speech isn't great). Also, commands that are tongue twisters, such as "show rear camera" and "show rear screen". "Show rear screen" is a nightmare for me and "show rear camera" is challenging cause of my pronunciation, I tend to say "real" instead of "rear". "Show back screen" would be much, much more easy. The "turn off" & "on" screen commands are frustrating some times, especially "turn off camera", cause you can't just touch to turn it off, you have to use that voice command instead. This leads to the second problem... 2nd problem is at night, after you back out and put the vehicle in drive (or 1st), the screen *!!should!!*, largely for *safety*, turn off immediately. It's frustrating when you need it off so you can see, and your voice command to turn it off doesn't work half the times. Usually, I have to pull over to get it right or just wait it out at night. Thus, the real need for a voice recognition program. And it would be nice if there were a list of commands on the screen you can touch, rather than use voice commands. The wire for the reverse light needs to be longer, way longer. I have a 2000 Ford Taurus, which is a smaller car, and there's not enough wire to tape it from the center/open part of the trunk lid where the camera is installed, to around the hinge of the trunk, and back to the reverse light. It's even worse if you installed the camera on the back window. When the trunk's opened, it dangles from the open part to the reverse light, so I had to get 3 extra feet of wire to get it properly attached so that the trunk's not slamming on it when I close it, and it's not in the way when I'm loading or unloading it. Here's a minor issue, and this really isn't the mirror's fault. At daylight, especially when there's more sun shining around the mirror area, it's hard to see the video. I do notice the rear view, when in reverse, is stronger than the other two though, like it totally blocks out the mirror. This is not the mirror's fault, really, cause any LCD screens such as smart phones, tablets, etc are like that, and I know that if the mirror was darker, it wouldn't be so bad. But a darker mirror is a bad idea cause you need to see in the mirror in the first place when the screen is off. I have no idea how you can shade the mirror off, naturally, and I'm a pretty creative and problem solving person. Even though there are a couple issues, this mirror still deserves 5 stars. I especially give applause to who came up with this idea, as a lot of people just don't have room for a screen or dash cam on their dash. It's very useful and space saving, and the quality is remarkable in everything!

Works great, but too reflective when bright out
The camera works pretty nicely and gets the job done, the angles of the image are pretty decent as it provides a pretty nice coverage, for night time it’s a little shotty on quality but does work. The size for the rear view mirror is pretty perfect for my Astro van as it almost covers up the whole rear view mirror, it’s pretty ease and straight to the point on understanding how it works, the app you can download on your phone is very useful for watching playbacks and saving videos onto your phone as well as changing the dashcams settings on your phone rather than using the mirror itself. The one main issue I have is it’s pretty reflective when it’s bright out so when I look at the mirror I can see the reflection of what’s behind me like a regular mirror over the cameras image, I can’t higher the brightness anymore to overpower the reflectiveness of it and it is annoying trying to focus on the cameras image. I would say it is worth buying so far for me, though to combat the reflectiveness I would recommend buying a tint for your back windshield to help the mirrors screen to be more visible in bright light

Pelsee P12 Plus is a perfect dash cam camera
I have an SUV that has no front and rear camera nor lane assistant features, which makes my driving difficult especially in night or bad weather. I am not ready to replace my vehicle with a newer model with the updated safety features, so I decided to install a good dash cam that can solve my problems. Luckily I found the Superior 4K Dash Cam: Pelsee P12 Plus rearview mirror camera features 4K Ultra HD front recording and 1080p Full HD rear recording. This dash cam has advanced safety features: Include ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), BSD(Blind Spot Detection), and LCA(Lane Change Assist), improve driving safety by alerting you to front collisions, maintaining safe distances, detecting pedestrians, notifying when the front vehicle moves, warning of lane departures, and identifying vehicles in blind spots or overtaking from the sides. In addition, the 4K ultra HD front recording and 1080p full HD rear recording with smart GPS functionality, recording vital details such as driving routes, real-time speed, and precise locations. You can track this data through our App or dedicated GPS Player, offering valuable evidence in case of an accident. This is really a game changer for me. The delivery of the package was very fast. Installing the Pelsee P12 dash cam with a professional look however needs some learning and planning. After watching several “how to” tutorial videos from Youtube, Of course, your car model may not be the exact ones in the tutorial videos. You may need to search for additional information for your specific car model. The received dash cam package contained all the parts needed for the installation. After a few trial and error, I have successfully installed the dash cam cameras and connected and hid all the wires. After the final adjustments, the installation is completed. I am really happy with the quality of the Pelsee P12 dash cam. The 12 inch mirror is bright, the 4K video is very clear, the rear camera with reverse line is very helpful when the car in reverse mode, and the ADAS, BSD, and LCA improve driving safety, and the saved the front and rear recordings really add a peace of mind in case of an accident. This product is loaded with so many useful features that easily be one of the best similar products in the market. I have no hesitation in giving the Pelsee P12 cash cam a 5 star rating.

Good camera good quality, a little bit of pain to install fully
This unit works as described. I've seen a few of these units and they are usually on the cheaper end. This one seems to be pretty good at what it does, especially for the price. The camera quality on both cameras seem to be very good especially for the price. They both capture good wide-angle footage allowing you to grab footage not only directly in front of the cameras but also on the on the Front corner and rear corner areas of the car. The recording speed seems to be also spot-on It seems to capture the images live as you're moving. The the recordings are stored on a local miniature SD card that comes with the camera. If you ever feel the need to replace the SD card that comes with the camera I would recommend finding one that has a lot of write cycles or that is made for capturing video verses one that has a ton of storage. I would not worry about it having huge storage capacity unless you need to store footage of every trip you take for extended periods of time. The manufacturer and the seller on the Amazon listing both will tell you that it uses Wi-Fi for connectivity, not Bluetooth. I'm assuming they did this because it can record video up to 4K quality. Has Bluetooth was not designed for video. However with this said if you try to connect your phone by default your phone will try to connect to the internet through the Wi-Fi connection to the device and not use your cellular connectivity rendering your data connection useless It's connected to the unit. I have not used the app because of the connectivity challenge. I don't feel like it's enough to remove a star over because both the seller on the listing and even in the documentation the manufacturer tells you it only connects by Wi-Fi. However that it is something the manufacturer could really work on. Adding a Bluetooth connection In the future models alongside of the Wi-Fi. The gps compass, speed recording, and time / date is correct and calabrates perfectly every time you start the vehicle. The voice commands seem to work good as well however the speaker on it is faint so if your driving with your windows down and music up it can be difficult to hear it's alerts. The backup camera triggers perfectly once you have it wired to your reverse light as well. And if you mount it correctly the grid on the backup camera can be adjusted with sulfur controls on the unit allowing you to line up the grid almost perfectly with a parking spot. I have not been able to test all the features. You have to hardwire the unit directly to the fuse box or the power of the car to get extra features such as the security monitoring when the car's off, I have not been able to do that yet. You will also have to buy a separate wiring kit for this. The main kit only comes with only a 12 volt DC plug (or what some would call a cigarette lighter plug) to keep the unit powered on when driving your vehicle. Installation: Installing the main camera and mirror screen itself is easy. You take two rubber pieces and loop it around the back side of the current mirror in your car placing the unit over top of your mirror and you connect the two rubber pieces to hooks on the unit. It hangs in place without much of an issue. Simply plug in the DC adapter on the top and run it down too your power source in your car. The GPS antenna is also plug and play and plugs into 3.5 mm slot barrel slot on the top of the unit. You can place the antenna wherever it may get a good signal as it has a decent amount of wiring that comes with it. The cable that runs through the rear camera that transmits the video to the unit, has a decent length itself for most vehicles. Please note however if you have a hatchback like my vehicle you may have some difficulty finding a place to mount it. If you try to run the rear camera wiring through the wiring slots and harnesses into the hatchback door you may have a lot of difficulty doing this as some of those harnesses have tight rubber seals around them. You will also need to take note when installing the rear camera. The power switch cord that you wire to your reverse light on your car that triggers the rear camera to come on when you put the vehicle in reverse is also only around 6 ft. Not leaving you with a lot of room to run it through wiring harnesses on especially if you have a hatchback and try to run it through the door then back through it to one of your reverse lights on your tail light. I wind up mounting my beneath my vehicle screwing it into my bumper cover from below. Although it set kind of low it still seems to work. Even the backup grid lines work okay itself. Surprisingly even after driving it to the rain and etc the camera seems to function fine. I then ran the switch cable up in between the bumper and bumper cover up then through the side of the tail light into the back of the tail light. Then I splice it into the tail light power cable. I also ran the main video cable in same direction as it seemed to be the easiest, once it it was in the tail light area I ran it through one of the rubber harnesses seals that allows my tail light wires to go out through my car into the tail light. Then I ran that video cable along the interior molding all the way to the front of the car and I plugged it into the camera as the manual shows. Whether you wire the switch wire to the reverse light The rear camera will still function. It will still receive power from the video cable. Since the unit is not only a camera system but functions as your rearview mirror it is not always on. That way you can use it as a rear view mirror. So after a few minutes the screen will go out. And you will be driving looking at the display like it is a rearview mirror. If you do not wire the switch cable then it won't trigger the rear camera to display on the unit when you put it in reverse. This could be okay as long as you're okay with tapping on the mirror so you can see the camera display. Outside of adding Bluetooth connection to it. The only other thing I could recommend to the manufacturer and as a bit of a warning to the buyer is the the way the rear camera connects to the video and front power cable. There is a four-pin connection that is in a barrel connector that plugs in. It's hard to line up the pins and it's easy to smash them. We would recommend a different type of connection for the wiring something that would be easier to clip into place. However if you purchase the unit it's going to have this connection so I recommend carefully aligning the pins as good as you can and then giving it a firm press. The pins will not go into the socket without firmly pressing it in but at the same time you want to make sure it's lined up properly because if not you will smash those pins if you press firmly on them. Outside of that I still give the camera five stars for what it is and the cost of it. I've seen cheaper models by other companies that are nowhere near the quality of this unit for its price.

Worth..It..All
Believe me when I tell you, I’ve searched a very long time for a dash cam that checked all my boxes and then this came along. Also believe me when I tell you, I’ve tried quite a few brands and ended up returning most of them. So much time and money wasted. But this one is worth every penny. The quality, the user-friendly set up, everything is amazing. It has great features built in on top of being a dash cam. Features like lane change assistance and anti-collision verbal alert are such an invaluable bonus. I also recommend getting the rear camera set up (sold separately) that has a generous length cord to reach the back. And since my SUV is kinda long, I also bought the additional extension cord to make sure I had a long enough line to reach the back plus a little extra, just in case I run into some unexpected difficulties with where I place the camera. You should know, too, that this rear camera also does double duty. It serves as a rear “dash cam” as well as a back-up camera (my Jeep didn’t have a back-up cam built in, so this cam was absolutely perfect for me). What’s even better is that this rear-view mirror / dash-cam / back-up camera / rear “dash cam” / driving assistance device, is also controlled by voice-command. In other words, you can verbally command it to change views, from showing the forward dash cam view to showing the rear dash cam view and you can even have a split-screen view of the front and the back! And check this out, when the active dash cam view goes to sleep (either by timing out or by manually putting the live view to sleep), it acts and looks like a standard rear-view mirror, which is pretty handy if you don’t have the rear cam set-up. But, to clarify, even if the live dash cam view goes to sleep, it’s still recording your driving session. Plus, this device also connects to an app in your smart phone so you can watch and download your selected recorded sessions, and a couple of other things. However, the greatest feature of all - their customer service. Top notch. Not gonna lie, I had some minor technical difficulties after setting it up (the voice-command function wasn't responding as well as it should), so I reached out to their customer support (via email) to see if they can help me trouble-shoot the camera and fix the issue. Within 24 hours (I think even less than that), I got a response back from one Ms. Jenny, who was so amazing and so helpful, with tips to help me hopefully fix the problem. So, I did try everything she suggested but the remedy didn’t last long, so I wrote back to her, letting her know what happened. And before I knew it, a replacement was on its way to me. No hassles, no interrogations, no tedious steps to complete in order to get a replacement. I am floored. Buy it already! Trust me, coming from a guy like me, who’s pretty hard to impress… I am absolutely impressed.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS—crap product, crap support, and crap company.
UPDATE - 05/02/25: After owning this mirror dashcam for several months, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. - I am on my SECOND device. The first one would spontaneously turn off and reboot. And guess what… The same exact problem is plaguing the second one that was sent to me. Constant power looping. Which is pretty dangerous as you’re driving, especially in heavy traffic as you need to use your rear camera a lot. - I checked the device and app for a software update —there isn’t one. Shhhhhocking. -I reached out to Pelsee Support 3 TIMES and not a single word from them. Shhhhocking. -AVOID THIS GARBAGE COMPANY AND THEIR PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS. Save your hard earned money and time and go with a different company. ————————————————————————- Original review: I've owned a wide variety of dashcams throughout the years and this one is by far my favorite. By utilizing the rear view mirror is ingenious. I love not having a camera suction cupped/3M tapped to my windshield blocking my field of view when I drive. This camera solves that problem. Pros: -turns your rearview mirror into a smart mirror -ease of use -voice command is a sweet feature that I find myself using often -the ability to take a picture by using your voice is amazing -the 5g wifi built into it is the game changer here. I love connecting to it wirelessly and viewing the video loops, the pictures, and can even download them directly to my iPhone and save them to my photo album. -Pretty good video quality. The front can record at 4K and the rear at 1080P. Please note, that if you enable the safety features ADAS/BSD/LCA stuff, the front camera will no longer record at 4K and instead will record at 2.5K. Not a deal breaker but would prefer to have 4K AND the ADAS/BSD/LCA safety features enabled at the same time. -The ADAS/BSD/LCA safety features are surprisingly really good. I didn't think I would use it/turn them off but I keep it on all the time. It really does keep you more aware and alert of the drivers behind you and to the sides of you. Helping to eliminate blind spots. -I recommend people to mount the rear camera outside their car as it will give you the best video clarity and quality possible. My rear window is tinted and tried mounting it inside and while it'll show you what's behind you, it's not the best quality as the window tint darkens everything making it more difficult to see and record. I mounted mine under my rear spoiler and have had ZERO issues with it. Even through an automated car wash with no issues. Cons: So if it's so great, why the 3 star rating? For some reason, my unit will power off randomly. I've checked the settings and I don't have anything selected to power off. It's a faulty unit. It does it at least once or twice while driving. Very annoying and can be dangerous. Sometimes it automatically powers back on, sometimes it'll be in boot loop a few times, other times it powers down and I have to manually unplug the USB-C cord and reconnect it. If Pelsee could fix that via a firmware update or provide a replacement unit to me, my 3 star rating has the potential to move to a 5 star.
