A couple months ago I was having issues with my wifi, my provider tried to tell me it was an issue with my laptop... I aregued with them it waasn't. That it was an issue with their equipment. I went and bought a USB plug in WIFI adapter ($40.00 at Bestbuy!) just to return it when I was right it was an issue with their equipment!But it did get me thinking that I didn't want to be sitting here again SHOULD an issue come up on my end with my laptop not working for my WIFI signal and needing to run and buy an expensive one at a store, it's the only computer I have for my personal use. So I grabbed this so I'm ready with a backup.Simple and easy too download the drivers, plug in and use. It worked fine. I'm not a huge tech person who knows how to figure out previous speed VS using this device. My internet speed is fast as I work 100% remotely and my work system has to be hard wired to meet ,their specs. I have a gaming PC that is hardwired to my modem with an Ethernet cord. I never even realized that I didn't install a Wi-Fi network card. I bought a large LED sign for my food truck and it came with a PC application. You can design the sign, then send it wirelessly over to the LED sign via Wi-Fi. You have to connect the the sign's SSID to do this. That's when I realized I didn't have the capability. This adapter worked great! All I did was plug it into a USB port and it went (Plug and Play). It sent the program from my PC over to the LED sign in just a couple seconds. For best performance use a USB3.0 port, but it will also work with a USB2.0 port. The dual band should band should be enough to provide the speed needed for gaming, provided you are within 5Ghz range of your router and you have purchased a high enough speed from your ISP.

The network card on one of my new classroom computers stopped functioning. IT is swamped at the beginning of the school year and has been unable to get to it yet. With overfull class sizes, I can't afford to be without one of my workstations. This small USB wifi adapter plugged in and installed easily. It picked up the school network and has the workstation running. The students on that workstation have not complained that the connection is slow compared to their hardwired counterparts sitting next to them. Overall, it's a good product.

I purchased this Wi-Fi adapter to try to fix a problem I am having with an older Toshiba laptop with an i7 processor. The Wi-Fi has been intermittent and I figured the problem was a failing adapter in the computer. To install this new adapter, I plugged it into an open USB port, but it didn’t seem to auto start. I didn’t think it was a problem with the new adapter, but I knew a quick fix would be to reboot the laptop, and I did. Once it rebooted, a blue light started blinking on the adapter which indicated it was downloading the drivers, so I knew I was on the right track. And a few minutes later, this new adapter took over and the Wi-Fi was now stable. At first I wasn’t sure it connected because it didn’t ask me to re-enter the modem password, but I guess it used the original password. To be sure, I checked the laptop Wi-Fi settings and verified that the new adapter had connected. So mission accomplished and my Wi-Fi was now stable on the Toshiba.

My desktop pc has terrible WiFi and I wanted to upgrade to be able to connect via 5G that was available on my network. I initially tried this device out on my laptop which already had pretty good connectivity - I just wanted to see if it would connect better with the added antenna. It did. It was awesome. Full bandwidth available to my laptop. Only down side - the device (due to its size) eliminated one of my available USB3 slots. Attempting to use a hub did not good, this little device requires a direct connection to a powered USB3 slot. That being said, this works great on my desktop. I once was restricted to 2.4G and now, have a full 5G maximum bandwidth connection to my network.I recommend this device if you have enough room to plug it in without taking up other slots that might be needed.

I needed a solution for my work desktop, which only had a wired internet connection. When our server changes caused the internet to go down, this dongle saved the day. It allowed me to seamlessly connect to my cellphone hotspot and continue working in the office without any issues. Recommend it for anyone in a similar situation!

I occasionally have the need for USB wifi sticks and my "go-to" is a Wireless-N device I bought in 2015. To put it bluntly, connected to a Synology RT2600AC and on a 1Gb fiber connection, this AC adapter performs the same as the N adapter... The speeds listed below are the average over multiple tests.- Hardwired: 915/790 11ms.- Wireless-N: 251/204, 12ms.- Wireless-AC: 217/266, 13ms.- iPhone 14 Pro Max: 661/444, 12ms.Thats not to say I dislike the adapter. While it doesn't perform as well as I expected, it has one major advantage over the N adapter... Its PnP with Windows. On my N adapter I have to load drivers which can sometimes be a pain.

Arrived as described, as pictured, safe and sound. This adapter works quite well, as I would expect. It installed automatically under Windows 10 with no issues, you even get a metal USB dongle in the box which contains the drivers, its only around 250MB but it was a nice touch nonetheless as most people no longer have or use an optical drive. Performance wise it was as expected, I get around 170Mb download speed tests where I use my desktop PC, the same as previous wireless adapters I’ve used in the same location. The jury is out when it comes to the antennas, they don’t appear to be connected to anything as far as I can see and might just be for aesthetics, they certainly don’t change the performance when used folded up or down. Build quality wise it’s perfectly fine, it’s a solid little dongle, not flimsy by any means though it is quite broad/wide and if you have to USB ports side by side close together you’ll likely lose the use of the port next to it. I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks without issue. Recommended.

Worked straight out of the box on an old PC running Win10 that now lives in the loft to act as a backup server. Excellent connection speed, typically > 150Mb/s, which is as good as I'd hoped for. I've so far transferred > 3TB of data and have had no issues. Very happy.

This is a powerful yet small form USB 3 WiFi adapter that supports 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz. Set up on the latest Windows 11 release (completely up to date to date of writing), this was literall just a plug and play. The device just installed and became available. It appeared as an additional network connection I could use and I found throughout the house I could pickup a strong signal (though I do have some repeaters and bridges).I got speeds that matched the best I have had anywhere in the house throughout. This was so simple to install and use on the latest version of windows I have no hesitation in recommending. It’s at a good price given the quality.
