Any long term users opinions of the Sge bread maker?

I have been using this bread maker for almost 1 year and I make bread virtually everyday. I am still really happy with this bread maker, there has been no deterioration in the product or the bread it produces. The bread pan is still great at not sticking to the bread and the same with the paddle. If anything happened to my bread maker, I would buy this one again in a heartbeat.

How many times i need to buy it to get one safe and undamaged you think?

I ordered it from a European country where I couldn't find it anywhere else than Amazon uk and received a machine damaged with bumps on all sides because it was unproperly wrapped and protected. Let's hope the next one arrives in a better condition. I am very disappointed with Amazon uk.

can you use bread mix in this machine

Yes, mixes can be used in the Sage® BBM800BSS Custom Loaf™ Pro.

Can you recommend a decent wholemeal recipe other than the one in the manual. It just won’t rise.

I don't have this machine (yet) but ihave same issue with current one. I have to mix wholemeal with plain bread flour pure wholemeal flour I find in shops never rise. Hope that helps! Just do 50/50 and it comes out like almost shop bought wholemeal.
