Nice Skateboard!
I just turned 60 years old. I was a HUGE skateboarder growing up. I started skateboarding at age 4, and continued into my early 20's. I just received it today. What a beautiful skateboard! I removed the "Made in China" sticker, adjusted the trucks and tightened the wheel nuts. All set! I snuck into the warehouse in work and took it for a quick spin. I took it for another ride on my street once I got home. In both instances the ride is super smooth. It rolls great and is fast! Come on Saturday!!!

Great board for cruising and carving
This is my first longboard. I was looking for a stable board for cruising and carving around my neighborhood streets and trails and this board is perfect. Not having a kick tail took some getting used to but I knew that going in. The drop is low so its very stable on downhills and with some speed, make sure you adjust your trucks accordingly. I have not tried big hills or anything above 20 mph yet, my trails and roads are smooth so the wheels are fine as long as you keep your speed, i noticed at slower speeds the wheels catching on pebbles that my 65mm Sector 9 Nine ball wheels i have on my Madrid Cruiser rolls over no problem. If you want to slide easily, you'll want to change the wheels. The Area 51 wheels are for more grip than sliding with their sharper less beveled edges. I did upgrade the bearings to Reds and the wheels rolled significantly faster and made for more efficient cruising. Im 5'10" 185 and the deck feels solid and plenty stiff if you are looking for a sliding board. The money saved on this set up, with a truck and wheel upgrade you would have an awesome sliding board. At some point, I plan to get to Caliber trucks and Orangatang Stimulus wheels but for now Im Really happy with my Dark Tiki board!!

Needs better bearings. But worth the money.
Love this board, but I would definitely get different bearings. But it’s really nice, bombed a few hills and it’s worth the money. Fast, low, and keeps speed.

Great board
First off I really like this board and it is very high quality. I received this board 1 day earlier than the expected delivery date. The cardboard box it shipped in was a little beat up but nothing that effected the board. The board's grip tape was a little rough on the edges but nothing too noticeable and the design on the bottom was perfect. The bearings aren't the best and I would recommend buying different ones along with softer bushings if you plan on turning tight. It turns alright but since I won't be going down too many hills I will probably get new bushings along with bearings. The design on the bottom looks great but is easily scrached. I was wanting a pretty inexpensive but good quality board and my friend wanted me to get a sector 9 board like theirs but most are twice the price and comparably, I like my board just as much as their sector 9 boards. This board has about a 1.25 inch drop, is 0.5 inches thick, and is convex on the edges. The board is 39 inches long but has a 26.5 standing "platform". It isn't very flexible but still can flex a few inches. For anyone looking for an inexpensive and high quality board for cruising or down hill riding I recommend this board.

Good Experience from a Green Long Boarder
I'm 6 feet tall, 193 lbs, and 45 years old, but don't any of you millenials think I won't show you first hand that Old Man Strength isn't a myth. I'm an advanced wakeboarder, intermediate snowboarder, but haven't been on a board w/ wheels for 2 decades. (so take my review as such) I bought this board to commute around Portland Oregon. i.e. groceries, gym, dispensary, rides w/ daughter etc.t First off, the trucks were way too tight. I don't hit any major hills or generate any super speed, so I preferred the mobility of loose trucks, than the stability of tight ones. Secondly, the wheels were too tight, they'd barely turn w/ a hand pull (no pun intended). It took me a while to get use to the engineering of a longboard, It was strange not being able to do a 180' or pop the board up w/ a stomp. Once I adjusted to the style I understood how it's much better for cruising and commuting than the traditional board. I rode it 7 miles yesterday, mainly sidewalk, a few asphault parking lots, and had very few problems w/ obstacles. I "ate it" crossing the tri met tracks, and had to bail on a 3 inch vertical sidewalk crack. I read some reviews saying it's not a slide board, but I'm able to perform a heel side 90' degree slide on smooth parking lots. However, I'm struggling w/ that slide on concrete (sidewalks) (probably just my greenness). All in all, for 100 bucks, I'm very happy w/ the purchase and feel it's a great board to learn the basics. I'm heading to the coast soon, I'll report back on how it handles longer faster hills. Hope this helps someone, Aloha Mr. Hand

Excellent Board!
I love this board! Amazing quality for the price. Great turning radius (al long as you loosen the trucks enough) and wheel bite is virtually impossible! The wheels are a tad soft, meaning sliding isn't the best as it would tear up the wheels (you could always put harder wheels on). But that also means the wheels are great for cruising as they roll right over bumps and cracks very easily. The ABEC-9 bearings are very good and will allow the board to roll about 20-30 feet per kick on flat landscape. The only cons: The trucks squeak a tad on wood and carpet, but on concrete or asphalt you can't hear it. The bottom colors are also deceiving, the brown and the green are darker and more subtle then in the picture. Overall, amazing board for the price. You can buy reds bearings but I don't think it would make much of a difference. Just a tip for wheel tightness: Tighten wheels all of the way then un tighten 1/4th of a turn for best performance. Also, beware of going off curbs, as if you allow the bottom to scrape the curb it will scratch off some paint.
