great
This 3-in-1 device seamlessly integrates with both CarPlay and Android Auto, making it very convenient to use. The 9" HD screen is crystal clear, and the Android 12.0 operating system is fast and responsive. Thanks to the built-in GPS navigation.I can easily find my way to any destination, both online and offline. The Google Play Store allows me to download my favourite apps directly to the device. The mirror link function is also very useful, allowing me to connect my smartphone and access my apps and media on the larger screen.

Affordable 3 in 1 Aftermarket Screen
CARPURIDE W901 Plus is an aftermarket touchscreen tablet that enables you to connect your phone via Android Auto, Apple Carplay or Mirror Link. It is an Android device which has its own apps and platform but requires an active internet connection to work and function. I have been able to test the Android Auto and the Mirror Link and they're able to connect and work well. There's also a 32GB storage, which is not impressive but it functions as more for apps and system data than anything else. They do have a microSD card slot though. This in it's own right is impressive, as there are several systems at play here, however the base platform has a few issues, specifically with it's sound quality and volume control. When you tap on settings it makes a a loud beep which fortunately can be muted, however the built in speaker is nothing to brag about, it serves more of a basic feature that gives you the function than good quality sound. This is where you can see some of the limitations and finding come into the design, such as the physical power button at the back of the unit, which operates well but feels a bit lackluster and unpolished. Fortunately this is just at the back of the unit. There are also several mounting options, the unit comes with two options which both work well. The 9 inch screen is large and bright, as an IPS panel you get good colours and is also a touch screen. Here I feel it they went for a mat screen this will look less premium, as most screens nowadays are made from glass, especially from the car manufacturers. There are options on the device to change its brightness. For an aftermarket device, where you want more convenient features without spending a fortune, or wanting a portable navigation device that uses Android Auto or Apple Carplay, then this makes sense and would be a sensible and affordable choice.

Works very well for my old car and old eyes
This is a bit of a godsend for my situation.Firstly, my car is old and secondhand and the radio doesn't work well and there's no other sound option. Then there's no car navigation so I use an app on my phone but I find it almost impossible to see the screen without reading glasses which obviously are a problem when driving. This deals with the music/entertainment option perfectly. As well as giving me a large screen I can see without having to drive with my reading glasses on the end of my nose which is annoying and ridiculous. Also, I find the offline maps option a lifesaver for when I'm somewhere remote and loose signal which happens to me alot where I tend to go.Mostly for me, having the large screen and the ability to use all the android functionality easily has made my journeys much easier. And frankly it's a lot cheaper than a good pair of varifocals that is probably lose or not be able to find when making long journeys. So this works well for my needs. I know it can do much more but this is what I wanted. Great piece of kit

I'm still having problems daisy chaining the bluetooth
Ok, so I have a confession to make - I still drive a 31 year old car. That's why I grabbed this stand alone display to mirror my phone.I honestly think most of the problems I'm having with it are due to my phone, and not the display, except for one thing - the brightness.this display isn't crazy bright - like I wish it would be. It's ok bright. That's my complaint. The Android auto works fine - I've noticed that when I get close to home - my phone drops the connection because it switches to my house wifi so - that's not an issue with this unit, it's an issue with my phone. -I don't like having to chain my blue tooth from my phone to the unit to my car stereo - I like to stream music from my phone ... so I'm still trying to perfect that after using it 2 days.Maybe I need to try a different set up - I still like it though -I've gotten used to the bigger screens in our family vehicle and my cell phone screen is just getting too small so I grabbed this screen and it's just so much easier to read. I just have to figure out how to get the sound right. So yeah, everyone is saying it's great, but they aren't android users. I'm not an apple fanboy... so there another confession, I know, I know... I'm not on the apple cart, wheeling my way to where ever they are going...Check out the picture I'm including - I wish the screen was just a little brighter - it's not terrible, but it's not as bright as my phone. All in all I do think this unit is worth the price of admission.***UPDATE***I've been using this for 1 week - and I figured out my happy medium with it - I ended up not using bluetooth at all - This is basically a tablet - so it can connect to wifi as well - it is an android tablet - so I ended up logging into it with my google acct. I ended up using my hotspot on my phone - and using the resident version of google maps - I use it on my morning and afternoon drive to and from work. I still connect my bluetooth to my stereo in my car so - no issue with my streaming radio anymore. And I actually like it that way - so no texts on my screen, just navigation. It's still not as bright as my phone. - that's my only complaint.

Quirky device
I've had 3 different devices like this, all with their own faults. This one is definitely one of the better looking devices, and is much faster than the other brands I've tried.Touchscreen is very responsive, screen is nice and bright, the system boots up quickly. The biggest gripe for me is the Bluetooth connectivity, it was go out once every road trip (about 30m into driving)But that's the only time it will disconnect? Super odd.My other gripe is the transmitter causing a fuzzy sound while streaming music (I've had very low budget transmitters with better sound quality)For vehicles without a touchscreen, it's a step in the right direction, but it's not perfect

A great way to modernize an older vehicle
I have an older extra car with basically the oldest stereo on the planet (no AUX in, using a cassette adapter) that is a drag to drive when you need directions, etc., compared to my other vehicles. This slick little unit makes that whole stereo usable again and modernizes the entire dashboard. Installation was pretty easy - it comes with everything you need. I converted the 12v plug to a switched hardwire via the fuse panel just to make things easier/cleaner. As far as the software: it's a little fidgety and almost does too much when all I really wanted was a simple CarPlay screen, but I'm sure there's someone out there that would love all these other features. The interface is a little slow at times outside of CarPlay, but again, I don't really use any of that. Overall, it's a great way to bring old life to an older vehicle or even just one with broken head unit or other issue.

Easy Upgrade for Older Rides
Got this for my older car with an ancient stereo setup. Install was super simple, and now I’ve got CarPlay without having to rip out the whole dash. The screen’s a good size and works well, though the interface outside of CarPlay can be a bit slow. Still, it’s an easy way to bring modern tech to an old ride.
