These babies do the job! I purchased 2 sets of the dark grey color. One for our room & one for our daughter's. Although the material is kind of weird, it's like a a thick satin, they work! One of our cats has already snagged one curtain when jumping up on to to the window sill. But for the price, I highly recommend and I would purchase them again. I would question selecting too light of a color.

We noticed a difference right away when we put this up. We live in a hot area and you can just feel the heat when you’re close to the window. We have central ac running 24/7. As soon as we put up these curtains, we noticed an immediate difference. We no longer felt the heat and our ac wasn’t running as hard. It definitely blocks out all the light. And it’s a good looking curtain on top of everything else.

Yes, the color I bought does completely block out - however, thin soft material, and very wrinkled - not pleated like in the picture due to soft material and wrinkled, just a pleat here and there, wrest is flat and wrinkled and looks horrible, does not compliment the rest of the nice things in our room.

I NEED my room VERY dark when trying to sleep. Being that I work at night I sleep in the day & these keep ALL of the sunlight out. Also it’s normally VERY cold in my room. These do block some of the cold air & the price is VERY reasonable
