As a person who do not play toys much, I have ended up buying three of these gear balls. I will keep one for myself and the other two as gifts. The fun part of it is that it can turn into various shapes that you do not expect in the beginning. You don't have to worry about that it is broken. It is not; it is going to another direction of another shape. It seems that its change is endless. I am always looking for surprise.Also, I think it is good especially for adults because it helps you exercise your hands and consequently your brain. Why not have a try?

I am impressed with how well made the gear sphere is. It's 3d printed, and you can tell. It has some texture to it that comes from the way the printer works each layer, I think (I don't have a 3d printer, but that just seems to make sense to me to explain the texture it has). As far as being endless hours of fidget fun.... I don't see it. It was clunky to move. That's not because of the gear shape or anything about the construction... it's because there's not really any place to grasp it to make it change shape smoothly. I felt like I was always fighting for a spot to grab it to make it move again. It's a no for me, but I think it was very well made and I like the colors. My ADHD 24 year old held it for less than 2 minutes before deciding that if it was his, he'd send it back for a refund.

This gear fidget ball is just ok in my opinion. It is cool to fiddle with for a few minutes but can get boring fairly quickly. Unlike the cube shaped fidgets I've seen, this can only change shape a small amount and that's it. The pictures on Amazon make the product appear metallic like and brightly colored. In reality it feels like a kind of hard cardboard almost and the colors are dim and not metallic looking at all. So it's ok for what it is but maybe not quite worth the price.

The kids really lov this one as they can play with them for a long time. The components can rotate continuously and shows a lot of patterns.

This is a unique fidget items and I love the metallic filament used and the cool steampunk gear design. Overall it will make a great prop for steampunk larp but as a fidget it is iffy? The gears are a little stiff and some of the actions are difficult to continue to keep the ball rolling, so it is a lot of stop and start to even play with it. I think the price is fair for a 3D printed item of this size. Overall if you want this primarily for the steampunk aesthetic, it is a good buy, but if you want it primarily as a fidget, I'd try a different toy

So my son got this 3D sphere ball. He took it into ear doctors office and three receptionists asked him where to get one. We later went to my hair dressers and two hairdressers wrote down the info for getting one. He had a 70 yr old man waiting for a haircut who was playing with it and another grandma had him write down info to purchase it. All interested people played with the ball. He is 11.

My son got this toy for himself after browsing Amazon. He loves it!!! It looks beautiful and fun to play. I enjoy it too.
