Amazing Mini PC, Allowed 2.5" 8tb ssd perfectly
Any reviews less that 5 stars are crazy. I added an 8tb ssd, using the pre-installed 1tb for program installs only. It handled the extra storage flawlessly. I have multiple windows open all the time. I'm a graphic designer. From the beginning I bought a small fan that it sits on, the same dimensions as this pc, so that I never worry about overheating. I plugged in my bose speakers via USB-c, and away we went! People giving this a poor rating because they're heavy gaming just isn't right. Those games require graphics cards. They need to get a separate graphics card and a docking station. This pc would run that flawlessly! Windows 11, well, meh, the jury is still out. But that's not this pc's fault.

Real fast, booted to cleanly windows on first start with no drama

Super fast and great value
Super fast and inexpensive.I use NUCs fory home lab and needed one to run windows. This runs crazy fast. Really it's near as powerfull as my surface laptop.

Total failure-boots into bios daily. Updates didnt help. Hard pass.
AVOID at all costs. Boots into bios every single day. Flawed in every way. No idea whether Asus or Intel NUc. I suggest pass on both.

Intel based NUC
These NUCs are pretty cool. I like the fact that you can mount the nuc on the back of certain monitors with a vesa mount and it makes for a clean solution. I use product like this to surf the web and just screw around, no gaming and no hard intensive tasks. A person might consider a laptop a better deal.... I have a few laptops and bout two of these (in different configurations) for R&D testing at home to check them out. Again ...great tool for casual use. I have Linux on one and windows 11 on the other.

Nice mini desktop pc.
Was my 2nd purchase of a NUC pc. Setup was straight forward and not too timely. It came with a clean system and not a lot extra junk. That is, if you don't count the AI. Hope it lasts a long time.

This unit replaced my first NUC and is so much better
3 years ago I started exploring NUCs. The problem with a lot of NUCs seems to be the noise from the cooling fan once you put a load on the system. My old beelink core i5 handled loads 'ok' for about a year until some micro dust got into the fan. Then the noise started.After manually cleaning the fan twice, it became obvious that (for my needs), I needed a unit with more airspace and ASUS has the extended box. It's been used now for many weeks and only vary rarely do I ever hear the fan with excel & word open, a browser and other applications. If you can swing it, core i7 or better plus extra RAM is the way to go.
