water water everywhere
The distiller performs exactly as advertised. The operating instructions are lucid and accurately describe all of the system features. Six liters are quietly distilled in 4-5 hours. The unit is easily dissembled for quick cleaning after several cycles of distillation. The pure water is used in a C-pap machine, a room humidifier, and to make lemonade. A great buy.

Quieter than expected, very pleased
The two main complaint in reviews seem to be it’s too pound and the drip nozzle leaks or is difficult to make not leak. I didn’t find either of these to be an issue. The noise levels are very tolerable, like a small fan, and the drip nozzle works easily, without leaking at all. Also, it appears to be working very fast. It’s a large unit, but not unmanageable. Once broken in, I’ll put it in my garage to run continuously or as needed. I’ll distill six gallons or so, then wait a few days to distill more.

Works well.
I've been using this for a few weeks now. It does a good job of distilling water. It does produce a lot of heat which is to be expected and is not quiet, so I would recommend it be used in a room where you don't mind the heat or sound.

Great for humidifiers
Love it. I use a fancy humidifier that requires distilled water. I got tired of buying gallons from the store, so I decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store when not in use. I can tell the quality of the water is good too because my air purifiers don't alert me of "bad air."

High quality and easy to use
We have been using water distillers for decades. This VivoHome distiller is heads and shoulders above anything we have seen for home use. Easy to set up. Built to last. Distills water faster. It comes with a well-designed plastic jug that fits right under the spout. The only problem is that it doesn't make sense to me to use a plastic container after going through all this work to distill the water. Just storing distilled water in plastic containers adds plastic particles to our diet if we are going to drink that water, and plastic leaches even faster when the water is warm-almost hot, as it comes out of the spout. We simply use a large glass bowl to catch the water, as we always have. Not as convenient, but I can taste the difference. Speaking of which, the water tastes very pure.Overall, it is a real pleasure using the distiller. I highly recommend it.

The best upgrade ever
Great unit. We use it three and four times every day. Have had it now for four months and no problems. The extra half gallon is the best part of this unit. The price was also nice. I had and still have a unit that I paid over $300, dollars for and this is just as good and for under $100. I will buy another one when needed.

Works Just Fine - You will laugh at terrible design though
1.6 gallon distiller. I've had for 60 days and have run it 120-180 times. Distiller works fine. Takes about 4.75 hours for each cycle to run completely. I turn it off at 4.5 hours to avoid scorched minerals at the bottom of the bowl, which makes cleaning with citric acid a breeze. The instructions are written in broken english and are almost worthless. The design of how the downspout meets the bottle is terrible, but once you figure it out, its easy. It is LOUD due to the high-speed fan on top of the unit. It generates quite a bit of heat too.

A Terrific Water Distiller
Having the ViVoHome Water distiller makes keeping my tropical plant collection happy with distilled water in their humidifiers. Previously I had to lug gallon jugs from the store and not only was that time consuming it left me with too many plastic jugs to recycle. Now, I fill the distiller unit, place the water jug in position, plug it in, press the “on” button and walk away. The motor does hum, and it emits heat but I do not find either to be a problem since my unit is placed in my plant/sunroom on a wire plant stand. I wish it was possible to purchase additional ViVoHome water jugs to have a ready source of “refill water” but maybe they will add that to their inventory in the future. Yes it takes over 5 hours for a total refill and mineral residue needs to be cleaned out but the convenience of making my own water makes all of that a minor problem. I have used my unit every day since my 12-’24 purchase and it’s been a great purchase.
