Need 2 screens on a laptop - Need one of these!
Did the job better than I expected. Bit tricky to set up though, but worth the effort.

Excellent
A small, light and very effective port replicator, which plugs straight into a USB3.0 port on your laptop and gives you 4x USB2.0 and 2x USB 3.0 ports, and a choice both HDMI and DisplayPort for your screen. It also has speaker and mic ports, which is handy as you can leave your headphones permanently plugged into the PR to avoid having to unplug every time you undock.Very reliable – I have been using mine for six months – and inobtrusive.Highly recommended. Five stars.

Please take note.
Why are items sold in this country with 2 pin plugs. After receiving this item I had to go and buy a new Cable with a UK standard 3 pin plug !!!!!!

Do not purchase one of these
Utter garbage.Firstly the USB cable is ridiculously short and stiff so it has to face backward most of the time. Then there is the constant sound stutters from the sound and mic jack making voip calls impossible. And that's not because of the connection as its the same when listening to music. Sound will constantly drop meaning you miss important information. There is only the option to HDMI, or bizzare display port output which means you have to use adapters for legacy devices. Even then the image on screen has pixels around edges. Then we get to the major problem with this device. The output screen will freeze but the main screen will still work. The only way to fix it is to unplug it from the USB and plug it back in again. Meaning I look like a complete ass at presentations. If you contact HP support they suggest the latest drivers but I am using the most recent from their website. So no help there either.Other connected USB devices are constantly dropping or freezing every few minutes and it also gets suspiciously warm too. Combined with shipping with a US only power cable this really is a waste of money. At this price, the purchase of this device warrants nothing more than a (cheap, scratchable) doorstop.Even the poorly attached rubber feet have fallen off so it slides all over the desk.Save your money and go for something, anything, better than this horrible piece of desktop furniture.
