Nature Journal Paperback – May 18, 2018

Not much else going on. Its the same pages over and over. Just a regular journal. It serves its purpose if thats what your child wants to do and can hold their focus and keep a journal every day. My 8 year old is happy with it and we will make it a daily habit of discovering something new and writing about it over the summer.

I’m so excited to use this journal with my kids this year. The content is awesome, and I love that it includes reference pages with tracks, poison to avoid, etc. The observation page layouts are perfect and encourage both drawing and writing. I’d love to see a smaller, spiral bound version that would lay flat and be easier to take on hikes, but I think this will work well for observing samples we bring home. The pages are thin which limits the use of different mediums, but pen and colored pencils will work fine. I’m giving it 5 Stars, because for the cost it’s a great journal.

These are precious! I am introducing my young children (7 and 4) to nature journaling and I thought this somewhat guided version might be a little less overwhelming than a completely blank page. There are a few prompts for location, date, time, weather, lunar observations, general observations, and questions, and then plenty of space for drawing as well. And of course the cover is beautifully illustrated. Anything from Twig and Moth is! (Check out her Etsy store if you haven't before.)

This is a wonderful way to open up your child's wonder about nature.

Beautifully made journal with MANY pages to write and draw in. Lightweight so taking it to the forest/camping etc is easy.

Wonderful resource for nature journaling, especially with children.

Just perfect for home educated children, or even if they aren’t, it’s still a fantastic product to get kids looking deeper into nature/animals and woodland.

I bought this book for my 10 year old son. It has some lovely, inspirational drawings at the start, such as phases of the moon and a selection of animal tracks, then space to fill in your own images and observations, or to stick in things you have collected. We will use it a lot!

Don't buy this item.It is basically an expensively priced cheap dollar store quality kids blank colouring book with 7 pages of illustrations or few lines of text on and the rest blank poor quality paper.There are much better educational art books out there for kids and adults.When returned to Amazon for refund, still not received, they then sent out replacement instead and arrived damaged!

Thin but my 8 yr old enjoys using it because of the hints, drawings and info on the pages.
