Simple and effective. 3 different lock modes, one where you can open it with a code. The second has a timer then it unlocks and it can also be bypassed with a code. The last is fortress mode, this is a timed mode where the only way you can unlock it prematurely is by contacting their support and waiting up to 24 hours.I locked my substances in there in fortress mode and I just tried to outsmart it by taking the batteries out but they expected that. It just resumed the timer once I put the batteries back in.I strongly recommend this box if you’re trying to cut back on bad habits.

Worth every penny, I hesitated at $40. I'm very happy with it. My friend bought one too after seeing mine. Great product, sturdy, easy to use, recommended.

This is helpful for us with keeping some things locked up for a specified period of time. I also have Kitchen Safe boxes similar to this. Both brands are well engineered and meet our needs. The one aspect of Mindsight boxes that I really like is that they are more flexible. If you want to lock something up but want to be able to get to it, you can by using the unlock code. Similarly, you can lock it for a specified period of time but can still do an unlock code if you really need access. But, if you hit the Fortress button when setting the timer, you have to wait until the timer runs out since no unlock codes work in Fortress mode. We always use fortress for our purposes, but I have thought of situations where I’d just like the option of having something locked just to have it in a safe place and knowing I could still get access to it.

I have no willpower to get off my phone sometimes. This has been really awesome!! I have such peaceful mornings when I know getting on my phone is simply not an option. It’s crazy how much calmer I am!! My anxiety is MUCH lower. If you feel like you’re on your phone too much and are on the fence, I would say go for it!!!Pros:- great value, does the job. Doesn’t feel like it’ll break easily or anything. No reason to spend more than this imo- has little holes on the bottom that you can string a charger through to charge it while it’s locked up. I don’t think this was the intended purpose of the holes but I use them for that and think it’s nice.- easy to use timer/locking mechanism.Only cons:- the little emergency code to bypass the timer is too easy to memorize. I sometimes need my phone for work so I dont feel comfortable using the fortress mode. I memorized the bypass code the first time I had to use it and now I think it’s slightly more tempting to just punch it in really quick haha. Wish I had the extra step of having to read it to deter me but Not a huge deal at all. It might be possible to change it, but I haven’t tried. I kinda think you can’t. But yeah I would say try your absolute hardest to not look at it for as long as possible lol. But also, once you get kinda used to not using your phone, it gets a lot easier to resist.- it’s a bit small. It can fit several of any type of phone but no other type of device. Now that I have it and love it I kinda wish I had one that can fit my gaming controllers too. That’s kinda my fault tho for not just getting a bigger one. if you only want it for your phone(s) it’s the perfect size. If you’re getting this for gaming then definitely get a bigger one.

Has worked for weaning me off of Ambien. If you ever need to override the code, you can email them and they will respond quickly. Which has happened twice to me in emergency situations. What has worked for me is to start slow put the timer on for a few hours and then work your way up. Also if you have to contact them for an emergency override, suggest you trash that as soon as you have read it so that you don’t continue to use it! I’ve used it for medication that I was able to get off of. And now I use it for my phone. Which also can be almost as addictive, if not as addictive as some medications! Anyway, their customer service is still quality and I’m so appreciative of it!

I would have given this 5 stars if the unit didn't have such a marijuana odor upon opening the box. I was tempted to ship it back, but a soapy wash cleared the odor. I'm a dispensary owner, so I'm not anti drug.That said, the lock system is easy enough to manage and works reliably. The unlock feature uses an old school, Nintendo cheat code to unlock it when not in "Fortress Mode."Its construction wont resist a set of tools and brute force, but you can only blame yourself for that. The locking mechanism is reinforced with stamped steel that prevents prying it open with only screw driver. Cutting of the structure around the latch reinforcement is required. Don't blame the company if you tool up and bust in. Buy something stronger than your tool set instead.It has two 15mmx9mm access ports on each side of the bottom, easily allowing charging cables to enter the storage area while locked.I got the fake wood grained unit. It looks nice. I've seen the white and it's, well, white.As far as value goes, it's not super pricey, but I have seen metal units for the same price. I have not tested the metal units, and can say this one works great.

Works perfectly and has already helped me bring my screen time down tremendously! I’m so happy I finally made this purchase! I think EVERY family needs one of these in their kitchen to guarantee quality time during meals!
