Review: If there is a spark, this book will ignite it! - What a great book for the budding young architect. I could also see an adult architect or home builder reading this book to their young children to help them conceptualize what they do professionally. It is remarkable how the author takes what could be a complex subject and explains it in a way that is both informative and fun. The wonderful drawings throughout the book will further captivate the reader. Review: Great for a wide range of ages - This is really a great book. I got it for my son for his 12th birthday but I think this book despite it's "young" looking cover, would be interesting to a child anywhere between 10 - 15, maybe more depending on their reading level.

Great first look at architecture
My daughter wants to be an architect and this was a great present for her from Santa. The book is easy to read and gives the basic components of building a house. We are enjoying it by reading it together. The pages are clear and the drawings add to explaining the concepts.

Really Kid friendly and informative
Our 6 year old aspires (at the moment) to be an architect so my husband and I purchased this book & some other items to nurture his desire and I must say I learned tremendously and was very impressed with the flow and ease of the books content and so was our little future architect. Thanks author, good work.

Great book
9 year old grandson loves this book-not too technical as I was concerned about earlier. Book arrived beautifully packaged with a special bookmark. A gem all around.

Great for budding architect-builder.
Haven't read it all the way through because I had to gift wrap it for my 10 year old granddaughter for her birthday. It seems like a book she will enjoy and learn from. She has always loved drawing and art as well as Lego building, so when I saw this book, I had to get it for her! I think she will like it.

Not much info to use for kids.
I thought it would be a book for kids with description of drawing details, some concepts, or info. Etc. It was just drawings of one house interiors and some different plan views. Didn't find it any interesting.

Perfect for experimenting and sparking ideas
This book was a present for my son and it has been invaluable for him to practise and start to build a portfolio of work for when he tries to get his apprenticeship. It has lots of ideas and helps keep him enticed and trying out different aspects and drawings. It beens wonderful to see him experiment and while the Internet is helpful.nothing beats a book and his eyes are definitely grateful to have a break from the screens !
