Great jars for pickling
My little home garden has provided me with a lot of vegetables this spring, more than I can consume or give away. These jars from Folinstall let me make almost five gallons of pickles. I love that they are large, at 1.5 gallons and also have a wide mouth, making it easy to load and unload. The glass is thicker than I expected and gives you confidence when handling them. The lids are thick plastic and fit the jars well, providing a great seal. They also have airlocks, letting fermentation gases escape without letting anything enter the jars. When you remove the airlocks, there is a plug to cover the hole. Though large, the jars are easy to clean as they fit most sinks well. The square shape is easy to handle, a plus since a full jar weighs a lot. They are difficult to sterilize, though, due to the size.

Great for people that brew a lot at a time
Love how little shelf space these things take up Just be gentle stirring, the square shapes are great for storage but lack in structural strength. That said 1000% will be buying again.

Great jars
Great jars!! I've just started kombucha and don't use the lids right now but they seem to be in good working order. Great value, not too expensive, feels sturdy enough to get the job done. Can't wait to try some other ferments. Will order another set once I get acclimated to the fermentation process and get in a groove. 😊

No more carboys
Good seals on the lids and an extra air-lock. Compact. Square so easier to store. Wide mouth opening, Easy to load and clean. Glass. Get this over Carboys, no doubt.

Just about perfect.
I really like these jars, I bought them for winemaking. They're a great size for a one gallon batch, and they're nice and beefy too. The lids fit snugly, and they seem just as durable and heavy duty as the jars. Sometimes the plastic lids that come with glass containers seem so flimsy, but that's not the case here. Even the rubber sealing ring has a little tab to make it easier to remove, it's all well thought out. I also really appreciate the measurements in metric and imperial units. Both get thrown around so much in winemaking, it's nice to have both options. Yeah, I like just about everything, except... One of the jars has this two inch long defect wrapping around one of the side corners. It looks like a bubble got worked into the glass in the molding process. It doesn't leak or anything, but it does make me nervous, with the whole "internal stresses" thing. I'd hate to have this thing blow up on me because I got it a little too hot or cold. Honestly, I probably would have done a return, had I not already put the first jar to use. Oh well. I still like the jars, but I'll probably just use the second one for emergencies.

Two Successful Ferments So Far
Upon receiving these jars, I immediately cleaned and sanitized them for sake and cider making. It was my first time homebrewing and these jars performed perfectly. This set is a great way to get kicked off with fermenting various things, since it came with everything that I needed and at a cost less than a single jar I was looking at elsewhere. I am glad that they came with the pair of three-piece airlocks, which let me see the bubble popping and got me excited to check every morning. I have already accidentally banged both of the jars a few times on various things and they are still good.

Excellent for homebrew
These are my new favorite fermenters for small batch home brew, and it's not even close. The the 1.5 gallon size is super convenient, as it gives you plenty of room for fresh fruit or spice additions, while still ending up with a gallon of whatever you're making (usually mead in my case). I also really like the removal rubber gaskets for both the airlock and screw seals, much better than the o rings (or nothing at all) that other wide mouth fermenters have. My only complaint is that the gasket for the airlock seems to be slightly larger than the standard size airlocks I have, so you have to use the included ones of you want an airtight seal.

Great Quality and Will Purchase More
I'm very happy with this 1.5-gallon glass jar. The glass is nice and thick, so it feels sturdy and well made. The lid creates a great seal, and the included airlock works exactly as it should. It also arrived extremely well packed, with plenty of protection, so everything was in perfect condition. The quality exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. Highly recommended if you're looking for a reliable fermentation jar.

These are the jars that are worth it!
Couldn’t be more impressed. Nice thick glass, not extremely heavy. Perfect for my sauerkraut. Would highly recommend.
