Setup was simple — just plug in, sign in, and start downloading games. The 1TB SSD makes loading times incredibly fast, and games run very smoothly at high frame rates (120FPS feels amazing). The console itself is compact and lightweight, which is perfect if you don’t want a huge system taking up space. The wireless controller is comfortable, responsive, and feels high-quality. Being all-digital means no discs, so make sure you’re happy with downloading your games, but for me it’s been convenient and keeps my shelf clutter-free. Performance-wise, I’ve noticed very few issues — games run well, and switching between them is seamless. The only downside is storage: 1TB fills up faster than expected if you download a lot of large titles, so you may want an external drive eventually. The Series S is a small box that can be placed on its side for less obtrusive storage. It is digital only so it has no support for physical discs. It’s great not having to deal with any physical discs taking up space. That means that you’ll need memory cards and external hard drives in addition to what comes preinstalled. I ordered the 1 terabyte model. That should be enough for any games you’d want. But some games are ridiculously large especially open world RPGs so you’ll want to add extra memory. It’s 4k but does not play games in true 4k 120fps only in 60 but you’ll barely notice the difference. Games look great and play smoothly even with the cloud gaming setup.

Haven’t had it long. Been many years since I owned a console so getting use to it. So far I like it. No complaints. Gracie’s are all high quality.

As you can imagine, this Xbox Series S was a huge hit with our 12-year-old for Christmas! Setup was quick and easy, and the all-digital design makes downloading games a breeze. The graphics are impressive, and it’s surprisingly compact for such a powerful console. He’s been nonstop gaming since unboxing it, and it’s held up perfectly.
