Picture quality really stinks and is delayed. Night vision most of the time cuts in and out. It also has this really annoying beeping noise that is driving me crazy. Starting to think i should have spent a little more a bought more expensive monitors maybe then i wouldnt have so many issues. One camera wont even connect so I cant even view that one. I also have made a few attempts to get ahold of the company only to not get a answer back.

I have mounted two of these FREDI 988 IP cameras. One is in my garage and the other in my screened in patio. Both work perfectly for night vision, push notifications, recording and saving motion detected videos, either to my computer or the installed SD cards in each.The monitoring software is another story. The software is called "Liveyes" and works well on my phone, with push notifications although I get tired of the notifications that arrive every time I go to the garage or let the dog out.Liveyes for my Windows 7 PC is another matter. It was necessary to contact FREDI support via email to get a link to download a version to my PC. However, once done it's working fine, although more limited in controls than the phone software.Not offered as exterior cameras. I am going to try to mount one of these under the eave of my garage to monitor my driveway and yard. I'll seal anything I can on the camera before doing so.

Just woke up to two voices, not sure what they were saying and then heard the light grinding noise of the FREDI camera being made to turn. I was a room over and my sleep broke. I waited a few seconds and surely enough heard the camera being made to rotate on another audio monitor we have placed by it. Went in to the room and watched the camera being turned though neither me or my husband were on the app since we were fast asleep (it’s 3:44 am here!). So freaked out, I just pulled the power cord off. WE WILL NO LONGER BE USING THIS TO MONITOR ANYTHING!Buyer beware! Also, just noticed the app this monitor uses used to be available in the App Store and is no longer available any more. Been using this for 2 years now (Got 1 as a gift in 2018 and bought a 2nd cam in 2019) and we noticed it had begun beeping like it was trying to connect to wifi the last two nights randomly.

I have three of these cameras, one I could never get to connect and two of them used to work but now I cannot get them to connect to our new WiFi and there is no reset even though the manual says there is. So I have three useless cameras and no way to figure out how to get them to work.

The picture is good, night vision is very passable. The previous reviewer may have had a bad unit or was unable to configure it. I'd recommend not facing it toward a window or in a room with lights that shine into it when the night vision may be on - that can disrupt the IR functionality and make a poor quality picture. The alarms and notifications are just what I was looking for and I'm purchasing more - these are about the cost of security service every month (a cheap one) and they are a great substitute. If you have good neighbors you can share cams with them to keep an eye on each others houses too. Great for neighborhood watch, internal and external security, or for baby monitoring or pet watching.

Terrible camera! Do not buy it! It worked great the first night I used it but after that night the picture is grainy and it cut in and out. Everytime the blue light in the base blinks it blacks out the camera screen and I can't see my daughter. Now tonight it's kicking me off and saying that it is disconnected from the Wi-Fi. Save yourself the money and don't buy it or bite the bullet and get the more expensive one!

Update: after a few months, the sound started distorting on and off. After a while, it went out completely so I could not hear when my baby cried and the sound is distorted while using the mic as well. It just sounds like loud static.——-The camera and the app work extremely well. I would buy it again.

I returned the first camera because I couldn't get it to connect to wifi. I had the same problem with the replacement camera. I would not buy this camera. I returned the replacement for a refund.
