Dangerous!
This hammock tore from the moment I got in. Very unsafe! The description say it holds up to 1000 pounds, but it couldn't hold 200 lbs. Also it says to set it 4 feet oof the ground, but the material stretches so much if you don't set it at 6 ft. then it stretches and your sitting on the ground. This item is not safe and made very cheap. I was notified that a review was written and I hadn't written it! Someone wrote it was comfy and great for the family...NOT SAFE! NOT HONEST! DO NOT BUY THIS DEATH TRAP! The company refunded me, but never sent any comment about how I fell and if I was OK. My spine hit hard and I had a bad headache for 2 days. This company doesn't care. Buyer beware!

Rachets are junk
I made sure all ratchets were down. We had about 600 pounds on it and one of the ratchets broke. My kids could have been seriously injured. The ratchet mechanism won’t even lock anymore because of the way it broke.

Netting is thin
This product started out great but we soon learned it is really thin and it is easy to snag some tears occurred within three days.

Unique but cool product
This is such an amazing idea but it's difficult to find just the right spot to set up for equal pull in the four directions. Very heavy nice material. If you have the right kind of spot, definitely worth the investment!

Description and instructions are way off
Very disappointed. Product description does not match and instructions don’t match. My posts are 12’ apart square. The description says the net is 13’ x 11.5’. This thing is more like 15+’ square. The instructions says best for post or trees 11-13’ apart. More like 15-18’. Sending it back for a refund and I’ll try something different.

Should be called a Taut Square
This thing is huge. The hardest thing is finding four trees with 13’ square open between them. I thought I had a good spot in the yard but I underestimated how large 13’ square plus straps actually is. I had three trees that were good but there was a fourth in the way of stretching this out. The straps are huge, like 15’ each and 2” wide with the big ratchets like when thing down dirt bikes. It’s a serious strap, capable of reaching very high tension. The hammock is like a super heavy fine mesh with reinforced webbing along the edges and crossing the center. It’s very supple, not at all stiff, and fairly heavy. The square weighs a few pounds, with the straps and ratchets in the bag it’s like 12lbs. The bag zips and is decent quality, fitting everything inside and getting it closed takes some careful folding and wrapping. It has to be all neat and tight or it won’t fit. If it’s all just bunched up, it will fill a 5-gallon bucket. It’s more difficult to set up than a hammock, it’s like setting up four slack lines all connected in the middle. Doable by one adult, easier with two. I think the best use of this is over a stream. The streams here are lined with trees, and it’s one of the few wooded places with enough open space. This is the first square hammock I’ve used. I’ve used a triangle tree tent, and I never had much difficulty finding three trees to use. A fourth tree really changes the dynamic, especially when they’re different species, widths, and this is pulling on them in two directions like a taut line. I think it should be called a taut square; hammocks are slack.
