Wow, awesome to use checking out coins. Mainly what I purchased it for. I’m impressed with the detail and image quality and love that you can record and take photos. It is plastic but the back slide rod is made of aluminum which is nice. I haven’t connected it to my laptop yet but the directions are easy to follow. Basically download an application and run it. So basically plug and connect. The buttons and instructions are simple. You can flip the image upside down for opposite angle. Light is powerful and batter lasts for quite a while. Standby mode is nice to save on battery as well. Buttons and nobs are easy to operate as well. Really impressed with how simple and powerful this was for inexpensive price I paid. I wish I had this when I was a kid to look at bugs and thousands of other things lol. Easy to function at any age above 6 or 7 I’d say as long as they use it responsibly.

Really cool for kids, very clear magnification small electron microscope

This microscope is amazing!! It definitely is above what I was expecting for the price as far as the microscope its self, the stand could use a little bit of work however. The size of the screen and microscope combination make it the perfect size to travel with the instructions were pretty easy to use. The magnification on it was way better than I expected for the price also.

The reason this isn't a 5 star review is it takes hours and hours and hours and hours and hours to charge. And hours. Though it comes partially charged, it's been plugged in for at least 8 hours now ... and is still not done. I now have two of these- and the charge time issue applies to both. I had purchased another brand in the same price range, but bought a second one of THIS microscope despite the ridiculous charge time because the color quality and depth detail were superior. Also, I like how easy it is to adjust, very easy to get a beautiful view of detail. Handy size, comes with an SD card (other brand did not). So - overall - it's a very nice entry coin microscope. Having more than one makes it easy to compare coins of the same year/mint mark to more easily identify errors. Just know it's going to live on the charger, and don't forget to plug it in.

I would call this a starter level Coin Microscope. I got it for my mother. This microscope can be adjusted in 3 different ways - unfortunately, it almost always needs to be adjusted for each coin. That confuses and frustrates her. The magnification is good, not great. It didn't want to install with my laptop, but on her Home PC, I was able to connect it. The USB cord is really short though, so you have to be super close to the computer to use it and honestly, the view on the microscope screen is better than what gets projected onto the larger computer screen. So that is a rather pointless feature. So yes, it works. It's just not amazing - but it was inexpensive.
